Theon immediately sensed the tension thickening. "Vael," he warned quietly.
"Stay out of it," Vael snapped without looking at him.
Ares swallowed slowly. "I…I don't know her house address," he admitted. "I only know she works at Old Sally Pub in Silvermoon Pack."
"The hell is going on?" Ares asked again.
Theon quickly stepped in before things escalated further. "So I need you to relax first."
"No," Ares shot back. "I want answers."
Theon glanced toward Vael, silently hoping he would explain himself. But Vael remained quiet. His silence only made things worse.
Theon sighed heavily. Then he finally spoke. "Vael hooked up with her three weeks ago."
Ares stared at him blankly. Then at Vael. Then back at Theon. "Hooked up?" he repeated.
A second later, he laughed. The laugh sounded forced.
"You guys are messing with me, right?" he asked. "This is some stupid prank."
Neither of them laughed.
Vael finally spoke. "Her name is Vessara."
