Jay's Pov:
After reaching, we decided to rest the day since both of us were tired, I received a text from David asking If I would be willing to meet him today, I don't know if it is because of the story or the news, I was a little excited but I was also really tired so I texted him I will meet him tomorrow and he said he will swing by the office to discuss the details, then I realised this was about the wedding, I thought Whatever,
Then I received another text but it was from Keifer, I opened it to realise he has sent the picture of the painting which is now hanging in his wall, then I rembered his face when he saw the painting, it felt like something precious and I replied to him
Jay: "Beautiful" and we texted for a while before we went to bed and I also told him about David's meeting and we also talked some other things,
The next day, in the evening all David, Keifer and I were in a meeting together in my office,
Jay: "SO you want me to do all the 4 events on this budget without compromising the quality"
David: "yes it would really nice"
Keifer scoffed at me from the side, I gave him a look
Jay: "David it would be really difficult to work all the events in that budget"
David :"I know I understand but is there any way you could work this out" he asked while placing his hands on mine with a pleading face, I felt helpless
Jay: "Okay I'll try to find a way" and that's it he smiled and I did too but Keifer got up and left the place and I sighed.
David: "Thank you so much" he left
I went to search for Keifer, he was in the balcony,
Jay: "What was that?"
Keifer: "What ? you mean basically how you are costing loss for the company by providing services for almost nothing"
Jay: "I just said I would try it doesn't I am going to fully agree to everything"
Keifer: "ohh you would, just one smile and touch from him, you are agreeing for all the ridiculous things that he is asking"
I just looked him and got angry at how he judged me
Jay: "You are no one to judge me and If you want to leave you can"
I said and left the place.
Keifer Pov's
We were in our office, when that idiot came, I don't know what she sees in him, just the sight of him itself pisses me off,
I cannot believe he is asking us to do the event for almost nothing, I thought Jay will deny it, considering the conditions, but she also looked at him pleasingly, why she is doing that, he is just here to take advantage of her, why does she doesn't understand it.
He just touched her hand and gave her a smile and she caved, I got really angry at the sight, I mean why would she do that, I got infuriated when she said she will try and left the place, because what was she thinking.
I came to the balcony to get away from the madness,
She came after I directed my anger towards her, I did not like what came out of my mouth next,
Keifer: "ohh you would, just one smile and touch from him, you are agreeing for all the ridiculous things that he is asking"
Jay: "You are no one to judge me and If you want to leave you can"
she said and left the place.
I regretted saying those words to her, I don't know why I did that, I held my forehead in frustration. Maybe I should just made her understand instead of judging and yelling at her.
I went inside to see if she was in the office but she wasn't, I asked the assistant, she left to her apartment. I groaned in frustration. I should make this right, I should apologize to her.
I decided to go to her apartment, the chances of she slamming the door on me is 100, but I should anyway go. on they way I decided to pick up dinner and dessert for us, I brought her favourites, donuts obviously.
I drove to her house in the hope that she will for accept my apology.
I reached her apartment and rang the bell she opened her door in few minutes, and she gave me a glare,
Jay: "Why are you here?"
Keifer: "Jay, I" before I could complete,
Jay: "Get in" I was surprised that she let me, I thought she will just slam the door at me, I think the surprise was visible in my face,
Jay: "I just let you in, because I don't want to make a scene and the people here also prying on others, So don't overthink it, Tell me why are you here to give me more lectures? or to judge me"
Keifer:" Jay, I am really sorry, I shouldn't have reacted that way, I don't know why I did that, I did not mean to judge you or yell at you, I think I got frustrated at him and you also sided with him, So I just"
Jay: "So you yelled at me"
Keifer:"I am really sorry about that, I truly mean it, I would not repeat it again"
Jay: "How am I supposed to believe you?"
Keifer: "please" I asked her in a pleading tone
and she finally smiled,
Keifer:"Thank god you smiled, see I brought dinner and dessert for us"
Jay: "Wow, you really did your homework"
I smiled
Jay: "Sit down, I'll bring the plates"
she came with the plates and we started eating and we finished eating,
Jay: "I am believing your apology just because you came with donuts" she said and I smiled,
Jay's Pov:
I left for my apartment after that conversation, I was honestly mad at him, After few hours someone rang the bell, It was him, It was actually unexpected, I was actually surprised he came all the way to apologize, not alone but with my favourite food, that itself made me forgive him, I forgave him after his apology.
