Chapter 5: An Invitation
After Wen Lin retuned in his room, it was already night.
Instead of sleeping, Wen Lin opened polar night website.
Polar Night was a website, where Sanctuary peoples could talk to each other.
There was also an official website but there you have to register with your real identity.
In polar night you could buy and sell, weapons, beast meat, beast souls etc.
Wen Lin searched for a Mutant Armour beast soul.
And surprisingly he found a list of many.
After selecting some he shared them on his mother and father account.
He also shares some Mutant Weapon best soul, trying his luck, if he could get both.
Wen Lin didn't know when he falls asleep while browsing through this information.
Cold wind was following through the whole world seems to be in peace, which appear somewhat unreal.
Half in the night Wen Lin jolted awake, this time too he was awakened by that strange dream where a blurrily figure was pressing his neck.
Wen Lin didn't sleep again; he moved toward his gladiator device and login his account.
After choosing a random opponent he waited for it to appear.
It was night time very few people were using gladiator this time.
Soon an arena materialized there and a figure also came in Wen Lin view.
Like before he chouse his spear to increase his combat experience.
But this time he didn't strike first, instead he waits for his opponent to act.
Ironfang was about to quit the gladiator when his match was fixed with a random opponent.
Seeing his opponent not making any move Ironfang moved.
His weapon was a blade.
His strike was sharp and fast.
He strikes at the hand of his opponent.
Although Wen Lin didn't understand what his opponent intended to do but seeing him striking at him, he still step back to dodge this.
After being at the safe position, he thrust his spear toward Ironfang.
Ironfang tried to dodge this but still a cut appeared on his shoulder.
Wen Lin size this moment and thrust his spear again and again.
Some of his strikes were blocked by his opponent but some made his injured.
As fight continue Wen Lin Advantage started to show.
Soon Ironfang health go to zero and he died.
First win.
As Wen Lin was thinking of chousing to match randomly.
Ironfang send him a fight request.
Wen Lin accepted it without hesitation.
Soon a match begins again.
This time Ironfang was very alert from the start.
Sometime alertness create tension and makes body froze.
Same happened to Ironfang.
Ironfang thought that Newbie46 will not strike first.
But Wen Lin seeing Ironfang tense stance, choose to strike first.
This time Ironfang didn't even get a chance to react.
Wen Lin didn't stop his first strike.
He continues to thrust his spear.
Again, and again and again.
Ironfang loose this match in a more miserable way than before.
Wen Lin waits for some time, thought that Ironfang will request for another match but he didn't.
Wen Lin continues to match randomly and win two more round.
After that he choose to quit it.
His body was already cover in sweat.
After a fresh bath, he sits in his backyard and started to circulate his Organ Tempering Art.
Soft rays of sun fells on his body makes him feel good.
Energy was traveling in his inner organs, refining all of them as new.
Wen Lin even feel that his strength increases from before.
After repeating this process for six days, as he was going to practice this day.
His father approached him.
After their conversation Wen Lin learned that they talked to the person who was welling to sell a mutant beast soul.
Beast Soul can't be transfer outside the sanctuary.
So, for getting that Beast soul he will have to meet that person in sanctuary.
Wen Lin couldn't wait to get an armour beast soul; he quickly teleported to the sanctuary.
In Faith Shelter everyone was running from there to there.
Wen Lin not knowing what is happening quickly approached a person and asked.
After asking with some persons, he learned.
It turns out in Monkey Mountain there is a very intelligent Sacred-blood Monkey. Who is also the leader of that Mountain. He ambushed some groups of people. Many died. Only lucky persons come out alive.
Archangel gang was the one whose loss was high.
Monkey Mountain was their territory and there were many people who were hunting deep on that mountain.
This ambush was preplanned.
It was their fault to underestimate the intelligence of Sanctuary Beast.
Wen Lin ignored the noisy environment and ran toward the Red Pound Valley.
The area where he nearly died.
After searching he found that boar was not there.
Wen Lin was not surprised. Not disappointed.
He had already guessed this, that was also a reason that after been recovered he didn't rush there.
On his way back to the shelter, a person mounted on the Beast Soul stopped at the front of Wen Lin.
"Wen Lin" that person asked. Cold and indifferent.
He was Se Ye, an important member of Sword Pershing Gang.
Wen Lin nodded. He didn't want to ask trouble with these people. At least not for now.
"Sit on this. Boss wants to see you." Se Ye ordered, pointing toward his mount.
Wen Lin didn't have any choice. He was weak and if he will force him to go, he couldn't resist, so it was good to do as he had said to do.
In there way, Se Ye didn't speak much and Wen Lin didn't dare to ask questions.
Soon they arrived at the core area of Sword Pershing gang.
"Boss, I took him. he is that person." Se Ye report at a person, who were sited on a stone chair, many dishes were on his table.
He was eating slowly, not in hurry.
Listening Se Ye report, he looked up.
After seeing Wen Lin for some second, he gestured at him to sit there.
Wen Lin didn't speak anything and followed as he were said.
After Wen Lin sit, a person came with a plate and placed it in front of him.
"Eat" Gu Yong, the Sword Pershing gang leader spoke, a slight smile on his face.
Meat was divided in two slices, not big not small.
After Wen Lin took it in his mouth it melted. Its taste made Wen Lin feels energetic, all over his body.
After Wen Lin eat the first piece of meat a notification made his eyes widened.
Flesh Of Mutant Black Water Ant Consumed.
Mutant geno point gained: 1.
Gu Yong gestured at him to finish his meal.
Wen Lin also didn't hesitate, this time his speed was faster than before.
After he finished his meal, he got one more geno point.
Wen Lin already guessed their intention but act to didn't know.
"Actually, after you went Alliance to recover your injury, one of our squad team noticed your hunted creature. We took it." Gu Yong continued. "I hope you like the compensation."
Wen Lin was more than happy. That primitive creature was not even worth one Mutant geno point, let alone two. He expressed his goodwill toward Gu Yong.
"You will not have to struggle this much after you will join our Sword Pershing gang." Gu Yong seeing Wen Lin attitude, took the initiative to invite him to join his gang. This was also the main reason of this meeting.
Wen Lin didn't agree nor did the reject. After thinking about it for five minutes he said politely that he needed time to think about it.
Se Ye who were listening their conversation from the start was very displeased by Wen Lin answered.
"You, how dare you act ignorant in front of our boss." Se Ye anger burst but before he could say anything Gu Yong gestured at him to stop.
From the start Gu Yong smile didn't fade. He let Wen Lin go easily, without causing any trouble for him.
After everyone was gone, Gu Yong smile faded. His expression unreadable.
After returning to his room, Wen Lin Started to circulate his Organ Tempering Art. He wanted a breakthrough in this art, which could help him in fighting long.
As for joining a gang.
Wen Lin didn't want to rush.
Now even if he will join, he will not gain more benefit.
In starting he could increase his strength by himself.
Later he will need the maps of more area, which could help him to choose perfect place for his hunting.
For now, he just wanted to observe and see. If there will be any benefit, he will join.
Just as Wen Lin was about to continue his cultivation a knock came in his room.
It was Lan Mei on the door.
"We are going for a hunting, will you come with us." Lan Mei didn't waste any words of pleasantry and directly stated her intention.
"Are You going Monkey Mountain for hunting." Wen Lin asked.
Lan Mei saw Wen Lin as she were seeing an idiot. Monkey Mountain was in turmoil, who wants to go there. Of course, Wen Lin knows this, still he asked this question to know the situation of their group.
And he was right; Lan Mei answer gives him a general understanding of their situation.
"No. this time we are going the side area of Red Pound Velley. This area is not under any gang so we didn't have to pay tax." Lan Mei continued. "Qin Hao is injured, so I will lead the team."
Wen Lin agreed to go with her.

A new guy was beside Sun Qi.

Sun Qi and Lan Mei both wanted to lead the group.
It was also the reason Lan Mei invite him. He could somehow understand her thoughts.
Zhou Tie was a simple guy, and Wen Lin was sure that he will support Lan Mei.
Yu Shan was friendly toward him, so if he too will support Lan Mei then she will have the large number of people in her group. Then it didn't matter Sun Qi want or not he will have to follow her.
But Wen Lin didn't go as Lan Mei planned.
"Sun Qi, what benefit will you give me if I will follow you." Wen Lin directly asked the question to Sun Qi but it was directed at Lan Mei.
Did she think that he will support her without any benefit. Compare to Sun Qi, she was more intelligent and she understand situation more than Sun Qi.
If Sun Qi were knowing the situation he must have come to find him not a newcomer.
This time Lan Mei expression was ugly, In the whole way, Wen Lin didn't ask about anything and he asked the benefit from Sun Qi.
Sun Qi was overjoyed beyond the words. He didn't go to find Wen Lin thinking that he was arrogant and will reject him but Wen Lin question changed his perspective.
Before Sun Qi could say anything, Lan Mei gives her offer.
"You will get the largest share after me."
Lan Mei offers left Sun Qi speechless; he didn't want to give Wen Lin that much share. If he will have to give this much meat to Wen Lin than what was the reason of becoming a leader.
"Okey then I will be in your command." Wen Lin said.
"No wait I too will give the second largest share of meat." Sun Qi hurriedly, tried to win over Wen Lin.
But Wen Lin was unmoved.
"Fine I will give you the share equal to mine." Seeing Wen Lin unmoved Sun Qi give his final offer.
Lan Mei heart ache. Sun Qi words flared the anger in heart.
"Sorry but once I commit to follow Lan Mei, I will not go of my word." Wen Lin stated righteously.
From the starting Wen Lin was not wanted to follow Sun Qi. This guy was very greedy and will not hesitate to back stab him. Compare to him Lan Mei was better option.
Lan Mei was very happy by Wen Lin response and her gaze toward him became somewhat soft.
