I wake up in d morning staring through my bedroom window, and feeling so lazy to crawl out of my bed, just then I got a glimpse of d clock on wall that was right opposite the room , Jesus Christ " i screamed and jump out of d bed and heads straight to bathroom to clean an d get ready for work. Finally I was done and heading of the room and there i bumped into my mum cleaning d living room" good morning mum, am off to work already, take care"
Mrs. Angela "So early, my dear? The day has barely broken," she remarked.
"Mum, you wouldn't understand. I have to be at the office very early today," Anita replied.
"Alright then. I will escort you," her mother said.
"Sure, Mum. Let's go, I am ready now."
"Shall we?"
"Yes, sure."
They left the house together. Thirty minutes later, they arrived at Panpamge Complex Centre, where Anita worked at Philippines in Pangi Town. Her mother made sure she was safe before heading back home.
As soon as Anita entered her office, she found her boss, Edward, already there, staring at her angrily.
"And why are you just arriving now?" he demanded.
"I am sorry, Sir. It isn't safe to walk out alone so early, and besides... I am the only one here so far," she explained.
"You should have thought about that before accepting the deal. And tell me, who am I to you?"
"You are my boss."
"We had an agreement, remember?" he started to say.
"I am sorry, Sir!" Anita interrupted quickly. "I will try to stick to it."
"You had better keep to it, because I am not going to spare you again. This is your last warning," Edward warned sternly.
"Yes, Sir. I am sorry, and I will definitely keep to it."
"Anyway, we are working on a contract now. Submit the details to me immediately." With that, he turned and walked out.
Anita hissed under her breath, mimicking him under her breath as she reluctantly began filing the report. "Who does he think he is, controlling me and following me around like a dog? Am I not early enough already?" she muttered to herself, hissing again in frustration.
She finished filing the documents and placed them on the table, deciding not to take them to him right away as instructed. She would wait for him to call her first.
About eight minutes later, there was a knock on her door.
"Yes, come in. It's open, dear," she called out.
Sabastine, one of the male secretaries—and also her boyfriend—walked in. "My love, why are you here so early this morning?"
Anita hissed again and turned her face away angrily. "I told you about that offer I turned down from the CEO. As punishment, he wants me to be here earlier than everyone else, even before him. That's why I came so early. My mum even had to escort me here. That man is absolutely insane!"
"Shh, don't call him that, please!" Sabastine warned quickly. "If he hears you say that, he will fire you for sure.
