"Captain, they went into the sea yesterday. Looks like they caught something."
Audric, biting on a blood bag, reported to Charles, who was studying the sea chart.
"Could you see what they caught?"
"From the sonar feedback, it looked humanoid. These guys couldn't be feeding whatever sea creatures they catch to their Divine Envoy, could they?"
"Heh, if that's the case, then that's actually a good thing." Charles sounded relaxed, if only because they were about to reach Shattered Heart Island.
The attack he had worried about never materialized. The people on the Turtle Shell Ship remained well-behaved, and even the strange giggling from their sleep had vanished. It was for the best that the other party had no intention of making trouble.
Just then, a noisy uproar suddenly echoed from outside. Charles's heart tightened. Are these guys planning to cause trouble just as things are wrapping up?
