"Walk gently around here," Lancelot instructed. "Though I wouldn't let you fall."
His words caught her attention. She looked at him as he guided her along the gravy path. Oftentimes, his action for her to be wary of him and other things, it made her comfortable enough to trust him.
Walking for a few minutes more, Lancelot stopped and there Seraphina saw a brown horse tied to a shield. The horse on hearing them approach, raised his head to look at them.
"Is it a mare?" Seraphina asked walking ahead of Lancelot to the animal. "What is the name?"
"Yes," Lancelot answered behind her. "She is called Ari."
Ari? What a beautiful name.
"She's beautiful. Can I touch her?" At her question, the horse leaned towards as though asking to be touched by her.
A smile grazed the lips of Lancelot, "of course, you can."
Immediately Seraphina's hand touched the mare's cheeks, the horse whinned, enjoying being petted by Seraphina.
