I smiled as Amelia dried my black hair with a towel as if I were a dog. The tender way she ruffled my hair reminded me of the carefree days if when we were kids, bathing Woofie.
Suddenly, there was familiar pawing on my door. Woofie had been staying at home with the kids.
"Papa! Are you guys still not dressed?" Tsuna's small voice called through the wood.
I laughed and put my clothes on while Amelia answered him. "We're getting ready. Be out in a moment, my love!"
"Okay!" Tsuna responded and I could hear his little feet patter away.
I laughed. He was up unusually early. "Do you think he knows we might not come back?"
Amelia frowned. "Maybe... he's smart enough to realize this is different from our other battles."
I took her hand in mine. "Which is all the more reason to give him—and all of them—a normal morning," I said, leaning in to press a gentle kiss to the back of her hand. "No heavy talks, no tearful goodbyes over an empty table. Just us, being a family."
