Even with the drapes almost completely covering the gigantic windows, the sun managed to find its way to Nathan's office. As always, a pile of documents was on the right side of his desk, waiting to be revised.
On the other side of the office, Secretary Chen had two iced coffees in his hands. Placing one of them on Nathan's desk, he looked attentively at the light coming from outside.
"It's really starting to be suffocating," he commented. His hands were busy trying to cover the rest of the light by lowering the drapes.
His face looked a little troubled. "Even like this... the heat is still there." He grabbed the collar of his shirt slightly, rolled up his sleeves, and focused solely on stopping the light from coming in, playing with the drapes.
"It's fine. Leave them like that."
Nathan, who was currently working, took off the glasses he used for reading documents, placed them on his side, and lifted his gaze to stare at Secretary Chen.
