"Are you okay?" Xavier asked worriedly, suddenly awake.
Hazel tried to answer but the pain was too much as her vision darkened.
Black crows burst into her sight.
Her eyes flew open just as the windows shattered, glass raining down as crows flapped widely inside the classroom.
Screams filled the room instantly.
The crows attacked without mercy, beaks striking and claws tearing. Students shrieked and scrambled beneath their desks while Mrs. Frost desperately ushered some of them toward the door.
Hazel sat frozen, horror rooting her to her seat as she watched crows rip into students faces, tearing out eyes and killing them with nothing but their beaks.
Blood splattered the walls and floor, soaking the room in red.
Xavier who sat beside Hazel, watched as the crows left them but kept attacking the rest of the students.
Suddenly, one crow broke away from the swarm and turned toward Hazel.
She gasped.
