Chapter 87 - Enjoying Each Other's

"Hmm, for now, I can only find a container to house her body first. That way, she'll look more… normal."

"I just went downstairs to head out and find something that could serve as a vessel for Fūko's body. I didn't expect you to come over just now, Shizuka."

Facing Shizuka's question, Lin Feng could only shrug and answer honestly.

"A container to hold her body?"

A trace of curiosity appeared on Shizuka's face. She had never heard of such a thing before.

"Yeah. Something like a doll could work. As long as she has a physical body, she should be able to control the wind power within her much better."

Lin Feng nodded and patiently explained.

"In that case, I think I have a pretty good idea!"

As if suddenly recalling something, Shizuka pressed her right index finger lightly against her chin and smiled.

"Lin Feng, wait for me a moment. I'll go back and bring something over right away."

After saying that, Shizuka hurried off, leaving Lin Feng standing there a little dazed.

But soon, when she came rushing back, Lin Feng immediately understood what she had in mind.

"Didn't you say that as long as it's a doll, it can serve as Fūko's body? This one is my favorite doll—can she use it as her body?"

From the small box she had brought, Shizuka carefully took out a blonde-haired doll dressed in a light-blue floral princess dress. Its face was delicate and adorable.

"Uh, that should work... Fūko, try using this as your body."

Lin Feng took the doll from Shizuka's hands and glanced at it before speaking to Fūko, who was curiously floating in the air, watching them.

"Shuu~! Shuu~!"

Fūko responded with a few cheerful spins in midair, then flew straight into the doll's body.

A moment later, the doll that Shizuka had brought suddenly lifted off from the tatami, floating in the air.

She hovered for a second, moving her limbs as if testing them, then blinked her bright eyes at Shizuka and Lin Feng—just like a real living being.

"Fūko, how does it feel?"

"Are you comfortable in that body?"

Lin Feng smiled as he looked at the doll floating in front of him like a tiny fairy.

"Shuu~! Shuu~!"

Fūko nodded her little doll head, then twirled a few times in the air.

Even though she still couldn't speak, her movements made it clear that she was quite pleased with her new body.

"How amazing… It's really like the doll has come to life!"

Shizuka clasped her hands together in excitement, her eyes shining as she looked at Fūko—who now hovered in midair like a small spirit of the wind.

Beside them, Chachamaru crouched curiously on the tatami, watching everything with wide eyes. For him, nothing could be more fascinating than seeing a tiny typhoon turn into a cute little doll.

Lin Feng also smiled softly at the sight. Now that Fūko had a proper body, the turbulent air currents around her had completely disappeared.

At this moment, she looked just like a newly awakened doll with superpowers, flitting happily around the room and exploring everything with curiosity.

Since the issue of Fūko's body was settled, Lin Feng no longer needed to head out.

Coincidentally, Shizuka had brought her homework along when she came over, so the two of them decided to use the afternoon to do their assignments together.

Whenever she ran into something she didn't understand, Shizuka would immediately ask Lin Feng beside her—and he could explain it on the spot.

Before, whenever Shizuka had a problem she couldn't solve, she would usually go to Dekisugi for help, and he would always answer her with a gentle smile.

But ever since she'd grown closer to Lin Feng, she spent most of her time talking with him instead. The number of times she went to Dekisugi had dropped sharply.

Dekisugi probably didn't mind—he was never the type to be overly infatuated with Shizuka like Nobita was.

In a sense, Dekisugi's character was that of a classic "model student"—the kind who devoted himself entirely to his studies.

His straight-A persona was unmistakable, and his character was impeccable. In the Doraemon world, among all the people Nobita knew, Dekisugi might just have the fewest flaws of them all.

Of course, that didn't mean he had none. His greatest "flaw," if it could be called that, was that he was simply too perfect.

Whether in academics or sports, Dekisugi was at the very top among elementary schoolers.

And as a result, many girls tended to gather around him—so compared to them, Shizuka wasn't exactly the most special one in his eyes.

Lin Feng, on the other hand, sat next to Shizuka every day and interacted with her the most, so naturally, the two had grown much closer.

While they worked on their assignments, Fūko and Chachamaru stayed by their sides—one floating gracefully in the air, the other sitting quietly on the floor—making the whole scene look peaceful and warm.

After all, Lin Feng was still a student. If he didn't keep up with his schoolwork, once the break was over and classes resumed, he wouldn't have a good excuse for the teachers.

As for the Kimetsu no Yaiba manga drafts, he had already finished part of them yesterday. If he spent another two hours drawing tonight, that would be enough to meet this week's submission quota.

The afternoon passed quickly, and soon the sky outside dimmed into dusk.

With the efficiency of two top students like Lin Feng and Shizuka, they had nearly finished all their homework for the week.

"Well, I should head home now. Lin Feng, take good care of Fūko, okay?"

Before leaving, Shizuka looked at Fūko a little reluctantly. After all, Fūko now looked exactly like her favorite doll.

And after spending the whole afternoon together, the bond between the two girls had grown even closer.

"Mm. Be careful on your way back."

Originally, Lin Feng had planned to invite her to stay for dinner, but Shizuka explained that her mom had told her to come home early today, so she had no choice but to leave.

"Don't worry! Oh, right—remember to come early tomorrow! I'll tell Mom ahead of time."

Shizuka smiled brightly as she said that, and just as she was about to turn and go, she suddenly stopped, looked back, and reminded Lin Feng once more.
