As we reached the rooftop, they all looked at me like I was some kind of criminal who had done countless wrongs to them.
"So, what do you want to talk about?" I asked, turning toward Arin and folding my arms. My eyes were sharp.
Arin glanced at his parents, then walked toward the edge of the rooftop, from where we could see the whole company below.
"Mom, Dad, you said I'd become the CEO once the shares were transferred to my name. Did you lie to me? You already knew about this will!" Arin whined.
Wow, he never fails to disappoint me. I just stood there, watching his drama unfold. How could someone be this much of a witch? My parents went to stand beside him, their faces filled with concern.
"No, my dear son Arin, we didn't know about the will either," my father said softly. "But don't worry, that CEO position is yours. No one can take it from you."
His gaze shifted to me, cold and condescending, as if to remind me I'd never be good enough to take Arin's place.
