Chapter 26 - OTKE Chapter 26: The Road to E-Rantel

"A City?" Nigun was stunned. He looked at Hades thoughtfully and pointed in one direction. "There's a city in that direction called E-Rantel. It's a border city of the Re-Estize Kingdom."

"How far is it?" Hades asked again.

"It's about fifty kilometers from here," Nigun replied.

"Hmm, thanks," Hades nodded.

Just as Nigun was about to leave, Hades' voice rang out again, "Lend me some money. I'll pay you back when I go to the Slane Theocracy in the future."

"Uh..., what did you say?" Nigun was stunned, feeling like he had misheard.

"Lend me some money," Hades said with a straight face, his voice somewhat unkind, almost telling Nigun directly that if he didn't lend it, he would just rob him.

At this moment, one must be more assertive, or they'll easily take advantage of them.

It wasn't that Hades didn't have money. He had more than 20 billion game coins - but he didn't know if these game coins could be spent here. Although YGGDRASIL introduced them as gold coins.

He had also taken out some when summoning the Hanzos, but he couldn't be sure if it was gold.

Even though he didn't lack money in his original world, he couldn't just get a bunch of gold to play with for no reason. He didn't know how to identify the real thing.

Gold and silver naturally had currency attributes, but he didn't know if the gold and silver in this world had natural currency attributes.

Although his attitude towards Nigun was bad now, and he wanted to rob him, as long as he was willing to lend it to him now, he would definitely pay him back in the future. He couldn't do such a thing as default on a debt.

Nigun was sweating profusely. He untied a pocket from his waist and threw it directly to Hades from a distance of more than ten meters.

It wasn't borrowing, it was clearly robbing. But due to the other party's military pressure, he directly chose to compromise.

They had an irreconcilable contradiction with that magic caster. They wanted to kill Gazef Stronoff, but that magic caster clearly wanted to protect him, so they couldn't compromise.

And the consequence was being shocked by the other party's strength. He had thought that they would be killed here, but he didn't expect an even more powerful person to appear and help them resolve the crisis, although the other party wasn't helping them.

If he didn't obey him now, then he would really be killed here. He could give him the money. He felt a little heartache for these gold coins, but his life was more important now.

The salaries of public officials in the Slane Theocracy were very different from those in other countries.

To prevent people from getting power by any means for money, and ultimately letting idiots take the top positions, the higher the position, the lower the salary.

Hades reached out and caught the bag that was thrown over. The bag was quite heavy, but he didn't open it to look. Instead, he directly put it into his infinite backpack.

He was now waiting for the Hanzos to send him a message at any time and didn't want to be distracted by checking the gold coins.

After he arrived at the E-Rantel, he would ask someone if his game coins could be used.

"Goodbye, sir."

Nigun mustered up his courage to bid farewell to Hades. He felt frustrated by the failure of the mission, but what was more important now was to report the situation to the Theocracy.

It was just a pity that this person was wearing full-body armor, and he couldn't even see his specific figure, let alone what he looked like.

After they left, Hades waited quietly for a long time, but the messages from Hanzo remained unchanged.

This made him feel a little puzzled. When did the members of Ainz Ooal Gown become so good-tempered? He had seen it on that 1500-person subjugation website.

Some players had been lucky enough to kill a member of Ainz Ooal Gown who was ambushing them, but as a result, they were chased and killed by the remaining members, their equipment was robbed, and their levels dropped to 1, and they ultimately had to quit the game.

Now he had killed the boss of that heteromorphic race guild. Even if there weren't many members who had come to this world, they should have taken action, right?

Even if they were worried that it was a trap, they should at least send scouts or something to investigate. But according to the reports from the Hanzos, there was no such sign.

Could it be that...

Hades suddenly thought of a possibility. Could it be that Momonga was the only member of Ainz Ooal Gown who had come here?

This was very possible, but he couldn't conclude. If he didn't kill his way into Nazarick, he would never know the real situation.

This was one of the reasons why he wanted to assassinate Momonga. Otherwise, he couldn't get detailed information without killing his way in.

He was alone, but Momonga had the resources of the entire guild. Hades didn't know how many resources Nazarick had, but judging from their style of constantly PK and robbing equipment in the game, and continuing until the end, it was probably countless.

Hades was confident that he wouldn't lose in a one-on-one fight with Momonga, but the massive resources made him feel a lot of pressure.

"If Great Cat Kingdom had also come here, that would be great."

Hades sighed. Even though "Great Cat Kingdom" wasn't as big as "Ainz Ooal Gown," it could at least provide a lot of convenience, and most of his materials were stored in his personal warehouse in the guild.

Although it was a bit of a pity that only the "Mask of Envy" dropped after killing Momonga, there was no way around it.

He had a super rare resurrection ring. Not only was there no level reduction penalty, but even the equipment that dropped was of low value.

But Hades could feel somewhat at ease. At least the resurrection item could really be used. Before the assassination, he had a vague feeling that he might not be able to really kill Momonga, and now it had been confirmed.

Looking around, the moon was already high in the sky, and the effect of the Dimensional Lock had long passed, but there was still no movement.

The messages from the Hanzos were still calm. The Hanzos were good at concealment and exploration.

If even they couldn't discover anything, Hades would be even less likely to discover anything.

"It seems that no one will come," Hades relaxed his tense mood. The anti-detection ring would hide the spying skills or magic, but there was no spatial blockade in this area anymore. At least they should send a suicide squad to scout, but there was still no movement until now.

"Number One, Number Two, Number Three, Number Four, you continue to stay here to scout. If there's still nothing unusual by tomorrow morning, come find me. Remember, don't attract attention."

Hades gave orders to the four Hanzos.

Momonga would definitely come here again to investigate the situation. The best time to track him was tonight.

After tonight, he would be mixed in the big city. As long as he didn't actively expose himself, it would be strange if Momonga could find him.

And the Magic Item Book for summoning Hanzos was gone. Hades naturally didn't want to let the Hanzos stay here to die.

"E-Rantel..." Hades glanced at the village. He would wait a while before returning to repay the favor of the meal.

If he hadn't left the village in the middle of the night, the village probably wouldn't have been attacked the next day.

He had arrived too late. If he hadn't seen the notorious Momonga, he would have asked about the situation in the village in the first place and repaid the kindness of the meal.
