AURORA MOON
Aurora wasn't exactly horrified by his statement. In a weird way, Kellan Ward felt familiar. Like an old coat she'd rediscovered at the back of her closet. Comfortable. Warm. Perfect fit.
"Have we met each other before?" she asked.
Kellan smiled. "Don't worry, Aurora Moon. We have plenty of time to get to know each other."
"You didn't answer the question."
He nodded toward a buff bodyguard with a military bearing. "Jingyu, take her to my private quarters. Let her shower. Send clothes, jewelry, bags..." He grasped her chin. "You don't need makeup," he said. "But that's your choice. What brand do you prefer?"
"I don't have a preference."
"I'll send Monique to choose the best products." He patted her head. "Go take a shower and dress warmly. Then I'll feed you. Be good, little butterfly."
Little butterfly? "Why did you call me that?" She stared into his mismatched eyes. "We know each other, don't we?"
