"Leaving so soon, sister?" Ivy descended the stairs like she was royalty, her smirk as sharp as a blade. Her gaze was filled with smug triumph. She reached the bottom of the staircase and stood next to Aiden, her hands clutching his arm.
I can't believe I put up with their bullshit, thought Aurora. They are so smarmy. "Open the door, Aiden."
Aiden's smile put a pit of fear into her stomach. He handed Ivy his drink, then hurriedly crossed the foyer to grab her arm. He yanked her into the living room and pushed her onto the couch. He pointed to a file on the coffee table. "Sign it."
Ivy opened the folder and saw the familiar paperwork. The contracts were the same she remembered signing in her previous life. Wow. He hadn't even bothered to marry her this time around.
"I'm not giving you shit." She plucked the papers from the folder, tore them into tiny pieces and then threw the shreds into the air. They floated around her and Aiden like snowflakes.
