The air trembled with his presence. Shadows coiled at his feet like living smoke and every flicker of flame within the forest dimmed in deference to him.
The Elemental Magic Wizard.
Even without Eldric's warnings, I would have known who he was. His aura was ancient, he was Eldric ancestor andhis name is Aldric, he is older than the forests, older even than the moon that ruled the night. The very roots beneath us seemed to shudder at his arrival. Power radiated from him in waves, cold and intoxicating, the kind that whispered promises one should never listen to.
Lucian stepped instinctively in front of me, his stance protective, his growl low and lethal. "Who are you?" Lucian asking obvious answer.
The wizard's lips curved into a slow, deliberate smile, beautiful and terrifying at once. "Names," he murmured, "have power, wolf. You of all creatures should know that. But if you must call me something…"
