Lawrence was still with her. He stood across from her, his sharp eyes studying his boss carefully.
"Boss..." he began, his tone measured.
"I've always known you to be great, unpredictable, and undefeated. But I will admit, even I was a little surprised at how smoothly you handled the situation today."
Cassandra's lips curved into a faint, smug smile.
"Surprised? That's not a word I hear often from you, Lawrence." she echoed, arching an eyebrow.
Lawrence shook his head slightly, his expression still serious.
"I'm not doubting your capabilities." he clarified.
"I'm just... curious. How did you even know about the incriminating evidence in your office in the first place?" He asked.
