After a few minutes of sitting alone, watching Victor Hale's retreating steps, Lilian could finally move her legs.
As she walked towards the bus station,
Victor's words kept echoing in her head- his dismissal of her ideas and his condescending tone.
She clenched her fists as she slid into one of the seats in the bus
"I don't need to wait on Victor Hale's plan. I know Cassandra better than he ever could. I can do this on my own." she muttered to herself confidently.
Her mind began working through possibilities:
There had to be ways to hurt Cassandra- ways that Victor hadn't thought of, ways that would give her the satisfaction she craved.
And she belived she just needed to think well. Plan hard.

After one hour, she arrived at her apartment still thinking but her thoughts cut off abruptly as she saw the figure waiting on her doorstep.
Lilian's breath caught in her throat.
Even in the dim evening light, there was no mistaking who it was.
