Cherreads

Chapter 8 - Chapter 8 blood and emotions

The Pink Apocalypse Unfolds, The moon hung like a bruised lantern, bathing Tokyo in a sickly pink glow. A cool breeze died as if the night itself held its breath. On a skyscraper in Terma village, a masked figure stood motionless, draped in tattered black silk. He bit into a fruit whose juice looked like arterial spray, and his fingers sketched a silent symbol.

"Release," he whispered.

The world answered. An infinite tsunami unfurled—not water, but a suffocating haze. The sky turned the color of cotton candy gone bad, choked by swirling pink dues that swallowed streets whole. Across the city, Jyotu soccerers felt their Cosmo energy writhe like trapped birds.

Enzo Ikiemoto shot out of his bed, standing barefoot on cold stone outside his quarters. Panic crawled his spine. "Can't be…" His bald head beaded sweat as he clenched gantleted fists.

"It's him how is this possible.?"

Chun-yin burst from the doorway, her hanfu rumpled.

"Master, who?"

"Miryo Inojin," Enzo rasped, wrinkles cutting deep. "The one we thought died in the Great Battle in Japan years back. If he's stirring, God help us ."

Chun-yin's breath hitched.

"What…how is it possible, he sopposed to be Dead? The Black Pool's architect…he's alive?"

Enzo's jaw tightened.

"Alert Kojou. Gather the five strongest. Even if Cosmo fails. Miryo doesn't play—he rewrites." Miryo is explicitly the Black Pool's architect, tying him to Kari's murder and the looming war. Enzo's fear confirms this isn't a random attack.

In Shinjuku, Hajime Sadori halted mid-stride, groceries tumbling from his bag. He clenched his phone, manda's smile frozen on the screen.

"Something's wrong.?"

His pulse thundered. The pink moon seemed to pulse too, veins of clouds throbbing. A stench of distant fire crept into his nostrils. Danger roared from Terma. He dropped the bag and sprinted back, the name _Hanabi_ screaming in his mind.

The Slaughtered Village.

Hanabi clan's streets reeked of butchery. Samurai lay hacked, houses burning low. Sadori landed hard, scanning frantic.

"Hanabi-chan?!"

A stranger sobbed, clutching a corpse, her face a map of terror. Bloods painted the cobblestones like a mad painter's tantrum. Screams echoed.

He vaulted a roof. And saw a huge hulking lust demon stalkind a child, this creature has no eyes, corded with muscles, beads rattling like a dark rosary. The girl crawled, one of her leg was shattered.

"Shit._"

Sadori dropped, flames licking his fists."Why Did kill them?" he roared, striking the monster's jaw.

The blow stalled. The beast laughed and strike back, landing a successful hits on Sadori jawline, his granite-hard skin absorbing the hit. Sadori flew back, crashing into wreckages. His jaw split like rotten fruit, a grawling hole showing his jagged teeth's. His left hand hung by threads, pain a living thing.

"What are you?" he growled, rage blinding him.— Injury shows Sadori's limits. Connects to his protectiveness.

The Abyss Whispers

Footsteps thudded closer. Sadori sloped against a wall, a crimson halo pooling around him. Stumps of hands, vision flickering.

"Am I…done?"

A dark realm swallowed him. Cold sands underfoot, no stars. A silhouette coalesced—a horned shadow, voice like crumbling bones, "Hajime Sadori. Vessel of the red Dragon…the last ember flickers. Save them…or burn with us."

The vision vanished. The monster charged, fists like trip hammers launched forward. Sadori's mortality sharpens. The Inferno Stirs, Sadori's training screamed:_Emotion fuels Cosmo. Channel anger.Tears mixed with crimson. He hauled himself upright, bones scraping like broken cages.

"I'll drag you to hell."

Blood on the ground surged, mingling with mud, boiling like a wretched stew. The air reeked. The beast leapt, armlengths away, Sadori's half-healed fist formed a skeletal claw wrapped in fir shot forward. Both Fists clashed. The scream was his. Light blinded.

The monster flew away, shattering buildings. Sadori's legs rooted the earth, steam hissing from his charred skin. His blazing eyes locked on the carnage:

"I won't die."
