Just as I was about to step out of the shower, I overheard his conversation with Lucas.


It seemed like a heated conversation, and I was so curious to find out what the conversation was all about.


Mr Cassian was evidently upset with Lucas —or whoever Lucas was referring to.


And with the way he spoke, it seemed as if his goods were compromised. I knew how Mr Cassian hated his money or goods being played with; therefore, this isn't a favorable time to be in the same place with him, not after what had happened tonight.


I listened closely to see if I could make out what was being discussed, but I couldn't hear anything until he got off the call.


I waited a bit before stepping out. "Put on these shirts." He said without sparing me a glance.


"You wouldn't be stepping out of this room except I say so. The servants will get you your suitcase, and Lucas will get you a new dress first thing tomorrow morning."
