A date?
"Nah!" Emily shook her head, hoping it would clear her mind of such a stupid notion.
It was definitely not a date.
Nolan only wished to discuss the contract. If this had been a date, Nolan would probably have asked her to dine in an expensive restaurant, just like the women he dated. But instead, her husband requested that she join him at home.
"He probably ordered takeout," Emily said, remembering that nobody had hardly used the kitchen since she moved in. "Except for the fridge and the coffee maker, everything still looked brand new." She observed, recalling that it had taken her almost an hour just to get the kitchen looking spotless again.
"Maybe Nolan had planned a romantic dinner at home." Ruth insisted, still believing that her husband had invited her to a date. "Well, you'd better leave now if you don't want to be late," Her friend said as she looked at her watch.
