Early the next morning, Emma was woken by a kiss.
Ever since she had confessed her feelings the day before, Alex had become increasingly shameless.
Her bedroom had been completely taken over and declared his territory.
When he complained that the bed was too small, he simply carried her into the master bedroom — and "replayed" the same scene as before.
Watching him tease her again and again, Emma couldn't help snapping a little:
"Alex, you really are such a dog."
Alex didn't get angry. Instead, he chuckled, his lips curling in amusement.
"Of course. Isn't that what people call men like me — a dog of a man?"
Before she could retort, he leaned down again, brushing his lips gently over hers.
The kiss was soft and lingering, like a spring drizzle — and before she knew it, her lips parted slightly.
His mischievous tongue slipped in, once again claiming its familiar territory.
Fortunately, the sound of her phone ringing on the bedside table broke the moment.
