Chapter 38 - The revolution

Jin didn't care about making the world a better place or anything like that. He loved the way the world was right now. Why would he want to change it?

"No. I'm fine with the way the world is currently. In fact, I love it." He was being honest.

"You don't have to hide the way you feel. Tell me. Don't you think that the way women use their abilities is getting out of hand? Don't you think that they all should be held up to a higher standard?"

"They already are. There are laws that ONLY apply to women. As men, we have a lot of privileges. We even have all-male trains."

"Those are little things. And look who's making those laws, it's women! We have no power in this world. Listen, I watched your fight, the way you move, and how you took out the people I sent to take you. We need more men like you!"

"Killers?"

"Intelligent men with the capability to match women. Power kits don't come with the tech you have in yours. I know you tweaked it on your own."

It was the truth.

"Now imagine what that brain of yours could accomplish with near unlimited resources and no government or Argis corps to stop you."

Jin already knew where this would lead, but he continued engaging anyway. "And what would we do if we gained power? Overthrow the current system?" He turned to face the women in the room.

"Are all of you okay with this?"

"All of them were done dirty by the system that's currently in place." The masked man answered for the hundreds of women present.

"They lost family, friends, or were done wrong in some type of way, forcing them to look for another solution for their problems."

Jin couldn't help but laugh because this was straight-up cultish behavior.

"Seriously, you expect me to believe that?" Jin asked

"The world is a dark place."

"I'm not doubting that, but all of them learned that you were the...what...solution to their problems?"

"Indeed. They realized that it is not women who should be in charge, but men. They recognized how hard we had it and how the system needs to change. I am that change that will be brought to this land. I will begin a revolution. So, will you join me?"

"No. Fucking weirdo. I'm leaving."

The man grabbed Jin's arm. "I'm sorry, but I can't let you leave. You either join us, or die."

"Really now?" Jin attacked a man, striking him in the chest with his palm, but an energy field protected the man from his attack and knocked Jin away.

He landed on his feet, looking at all of the people getting ready to attack him, but Jin's suit started glowing blue with sparkles of light appearing around him.

"STOP!" The man ordered his people. "What are you doing, Jin?"

"Me? Oh, nothing. I just hacked into the Aegis Corps satellite teleporter while you were rambling away about your bullshit goal."

"Impossible! Signals can't enter this place."

"Oh, I know, but they sure as hell can exit them. Have you ever heard of a one-way signal? You should look it up, dumbass." Jin's body shone brightly, then vanished into thin air.

"DAMMIT!"

---

"Arghhhhh-Oooooooooooof! Ow." Jin landed in a pile of trash in an alleyway after being teleported out of the place he was at.

The satellite that teleported him couldn't bounce a signal to find a safe spot for him to land, so he just wung it, hoping he wouldn't get stuck between a wall or something.

"I need to break through so I can teleport on my own." When Jin stood up, he saw two college students pause their sex session because of him falling out of the sky.

"What? It rains people now and then. Check the forecast more often." Jin left the alley and headed directly to the station.

When he arrived, he saw that the place was in a state of panic.

"Damn, what's going on here?" He asked

"Officer Qutesh and Jin were attacked, then he was kidnapped! We managed to take her to a hospital, but we're still looking for Jin!"

"Oh, I hope you find him soon."

"Yeah, me...Jin?"

"Yo."

"My goddess!" The officer gave him the biggest hug ever.

"Where were you? What happened? Wait, no, report to Detective Karen. She's leading the search to find you."

Jin nodded and went to Karen's office to let her know that he was okay. After a long hug and a sigh of relief, she asked Jin where he was and what had happened.

He told her everything, even having a recording of their conversation. Unfortunately, the man wearing a mask had some type of voice changer, so they weren't able to put his voice through audio recognition.

"And you weren't able to learn where you were taken?" Karen asked

"Unfortunately, no. All of my tech dealing with location and signals was blocked out when I entered the place." He told her how he was able to escape, causing Karen to look at him as if he did the dumbest thing ever.

"You could have died."

"Yeah, but I'm here now."

Karen sighed and rested her hand on his shoulder. "Go home and take the rest of the day off. I'll let you know when Yuria wakes up. She got blasted with a lot of amps today."

"Alright. Here, take this." Jin handed Karen a green vial.

"What's this?"

"A healing stim. Made it myself. It speeds up the recovery process and can even regenerate damaged cells."

"Fucking genius."

"Thanks."

---

On his way back home, Jin told Brittany and Anyssa everything. They were extremely worried, rightfully so, but he told them that he was fine.

When he went to his room at the institute, he meditated until Angela and Addison were back, telling them the whole story as well.

"Hold on, you're actually friends with Angela?" Addison asked

"Yeah."

"That's right! Jin loves these tits."

"That's not the reason why we're friends, but I wont deny that."

Addison made a mental note to allow Jin to play with her boobs when she got the chance.

"So what now? Are you going to back away from the investigation?" Addison wondered.

"Hell no. I told you that I felt something fishy was going on with the Brotherhood gang, and now I know who's behind them, or at least what type of organization is behind them. Also, I know where the casino is."

"Really? How?" Addison was pestering her mother to tell her the location, but it was to no avail.

"Heh, I left a tracker behind." That was a lie. Even if Jin did, while he would be able to get the signal the tracker produced, he wouldn't be able to pinpoint where it is. Instead, he marked the location with his mana.

"How do you know that this place is the casino?" Angela wondered.

"Viper said that some other organization was behind the gang and even hired her gang to make it look like they wanted to start a war. Also, she said that they are at the casino. So, I just pieced the rest together."

"Are you going to tell the police about this?"

"Nope. I plan on going there later tonight. So, make sure you two dress up nicely because you're coming with me."
