The sky glitched again.
At least, that's what it looked like to me, light tearing across the clouds, a flash so bright it left lines in my vision like a corrupted screen.
But no one screamed.
No one ran.
They all stopped, looked up, and dropped to one knee.
"The Gods have spoken!" someone shouted.
And just like that, the whole plaza turned into a festival.
Banners of light scrolled across the sky, system messages as clear as any update patch I'd seen before:
[Divine Notice: A New System Will Descend.]
[Stand By for World Adjustment.]
I blinked up at it, jaw half-open. "You've got to be kidding me… a world patch? Now?"
Zeref laughed under his breath beside me. "World adjustment, huh? Guess the Gods are feeling generous."
Right. Gods.
I tried not to roll my eyes. Everyone else saw holy glyphs. I saw debug text.
