A moment passed,Payne's hand carefully holding Amanda's face.Amanda let him touch her, his warm hands gave her a sense of comfort, belonging. She felt seen, Payne saw her and that's all she was grateful for.
Payne looked at Amanda lovingly and Amanda's gaze made his heart flutter.
He leaned in hoping she wouldn't push him away,thinking maybe her defenses had fallen off. He knew the idea of kissing with his sister-in-law would sound sick to others but he didn't care. He loved Amanda and Ethan did not love her as much as he did. The two kissed passionately, as though they have been both waiting for this day to come.
Payne kissed Amanda softly his lips intertwined with her and he held her by the waist and pulled her closer to his chest with one hand and the other hand grabbed her the back of her neck. Payne couldn't help but tug at her hair a little. A moan escaped Amanda's lips and Payne smiled as he continued to kiss her passionately.
The kiss got more aggressive as though the two were devouring each other. The way to Payne's room was not difficult. Payne lifted Amanda up and walked with her in his hands to his room. She was looking at him lovingly but she was not his. That angered him and he threw Amanda on his bed. Payne wasted no time, he untied Amanda's gown and started to kiss her body.
Amanda enjoyed every moment, it was as though, Payne's kisses gave every part of her body a compliment. She didn't resist letting the man have his way. Her body screamed from pleasure every part yearning for Payne's touch.
That night was a night she will forever remember.Payne's touch that sent shivers down her spine,the way he breathed on her neck and his scent. They had made love that night, she did not regret it, in fact she loved it but an irreversible mistake occurred, she got pregnant. The baby was Payne's.
That thought alone sent shivers down her spine.
She loved Ethan but Payne... Payne was different..he saw her for her, he loved her and respected her but she didn't love him.
She used him.
That alone was enough to make him crazy. Ethan did not know of her pregnancy she did not want to tell him, he would find out on his own.
She planned to also act surprised, happy even though deep down she knew it was a lie.
After that night, glances between her and Payne were exchanged, knowing jokes were made. The two shared a romantic affair straight from the movies. They lived in the same house, spent nights together when Ethan was away and stole kisses in the hallways. Payne was happy, head over heels for Amanda but Amanda did not love him.
Subconsciously he knew but he thought she'd eventually love him, see him and make him a better man. One sunny day when the two were having one of their sessions, laughing wholeheartedly and sharing stories from their past, Payne looked at Amanda and asked her, "Do you think you would ever leave my brother?",
Amanda's face dropped.
'Why ask such a question', she thought.Her discomfort was clear as she shifted.
"Why do you ask?", she replied clearly avoiding answering the question. Amanda knew if she had said yes Payne would urge her to leave Ethan now and go with leave with him however she knew she did not love Payne.
He was just a distraction, someone to pass by time.
Payne did not get the hint, and if she said no,he would be angry and frustrated. He would hate her and not talk to her and she wouldn't benefit from their relationship anymore so that is why she would rather avoid the question by asking another.
"Nothing", Payne replied as he saw the change in her face.
After that day Payne and Amanda saw each other less. Ethan was home more frequently, he had not suspected anything to go on between his brother and wife however he felt as though he was not spending time with his family. Payne hated seeing Amanda and Ethan act like the lovers they were in front of him because it reminded him that Amanda would never love him like that.
