Leng manor was quiet with no sound coming from anywhere around the house except for one place. The kitchen. The workers were busy preparing the breakfast their bosses would eat when a petite figure walked in dressed in a tank top and baggy trousers. She has her hair packed up in a ponytail and her face makeup free with her natural porcelain body
"Morning" Lu Jingyan greeted and everyone in the kitchen turn to look at her
"Young missus." They all greeted
"Is there something you need?" The butler asked
"No. I just want to be in the kitchen and helped out in the kitchen" Lu Jingyan said shocking everyone.
They all stopped their works and looked at her petrified of what might happen if they agreed to her request
"Go back to work" butler Lei commanded and they all did
"Young missus, it's against the Leng family traditions that the owners are supposed to be in the kitchen" the butler explained
" Why? All I wanted is to help in the kitchen" Lu Jingyan justified herself
"I know. But it's still against the tradition that you are to be in this room with lowly people like us" the butler explained
"I didn't see a problem there" Leng Meixuan voice rang out as she also entered the kitchen
"Miss Meixuan" they all bowed to her
"Miss. Young missus is a family. And the old madam said the Lengs aren't meant to be in the kitchen talk less of helping on the kitchen" the butler said
"True. But butler Lei, aren't you mistaken?" Leng Meixuan asked
"I didn't quite follow young miss" he said
Leng Meixuan then shift her gaze onto Lu Jingyan "she isn't a Leng. Her family name is Lu and she is a lowly person meant to be in the kitchen" Leng Meixuan said
"Young miss" the butler called "the old madam said young missus is now a family. Young master's wife and she must be treated with respect" butler Lei explained
"Butler Lei. You must be tired of working here" Leng Meixuan threatened
"What did you mean?" Lu Jingyan finally spoke up
"What did I mean? I was telling him a pauper and good for nothing person deserve to be treated like trash" leng Meixuan said
"Oh. You are saying you should be thrown dirt upon?" Lu Jingyan asked
"Lu Jingyan" Leng Meixuan called in annoyance
"What is the problem? You were yearning your mouth right now about me being a dirt but you can't get the fact that you are the trash can yourself?" Lu Jingyan said.
"Lu Jingyan" Leng Meixuan called as she dump a cup of water on her shocking everyone in the kitchen
"Are you crazy?" Lu Jingyan Asked
"Crazy? The crazy one is you" Leng Meixuan said
Lu Jingyan grabbed a jug filled with water and throw it into Leng Meixuan making everyone gasp
"Lu Jingyan" Leng Meixuan called as she slapped her across the face.
Lu Jingyan felt the sting in her face but she isn't the type to back down she immediately slapped Leng Meixuan across the face also making her fall into the wet floor
"You –" Leng Meixuan said
"What is the problem? You are going to cry onto your mother's leg?" Lu Jingyan said
"Her mother is here" Ning Ruomo voice rang out as Lu Jingyan turned she received a slap causing her fall on the cold floor also. In the process of the fall Lu Jingyan twisted her ankle making her face twitch in pain
"What is happening here?" The voice of the old madam as she walked into the room and basically deducted what had happened. She can only glared at Leng Meixuan
