Chapter 5 - 5.

"Aux."

Just when most of the Guild members had lost interest in him, Mirajane and Master Makarov appeared.

Mirajane waved at him, signaling for him to come over.

Aux obediently rose from his seat, picked up his Magic Staff, and walked toward the counter.

"You use Addition Magic?"

Master Makarov sat on the counter, his cheeks flushed from alcohol. He exhaled a strong smell of liquor as he spoke.

"What does Addition Magic mean?"

Gray, listening attentively, asked the moment he heard the unfamiliar name.

The others also perked up—none of them had heard of this magic before.

Even Erza sharpened her attention; she wanted to know the principle behind Addition Magic.

Makarov took another sip of his drink and explained, "It's a special type of magic that strengthens a designated person—strength, speed, defense, magic power, and so on."

"From what I know, you can barely find a handful of Mages with Addition Magic across the entire continent. It's even rarer than Dragon Slayer Magic."

"What!!!"

The Guild members were stunned, having never expected Addition Magic to be that rare.

No wonder its effects were so powerful.

"What the— The name sounds so plain, yet it's rarer than Dragon Slayer Magic?" Natsu grumbled.

Gray smirked, "That just means Aux is much stronger than you."

Natsu snapped back, "Nani?"

Gray scoffed, "Fire-brain."

Natsu snarled, "Exhibitionist!"

The two instantly butted heads, arguing non-stop as usual.

Levy then spoke up, "Doesn't that make it similar to my magic? A support type?"

Many members nodded.

Levy's Solid Script leaned toward support magic as well, and even if Aux's magic was rare, a support Mage wasn't typically seen as a frontline fighter.

Seeing people starting to look down on Aux, Erza—who had already experienced his Addition—stepped forward to defend him.

"Aux simply doesn't like fighting. But I personally saw him wave his hand and reduce a house to ashes."

"And his Addition is incredibly powerful. He can increase a Mage's strength several times over."

"I don't believe that!"

Several members immediately expressed their doubts.

A house to ashes with a wave of his hand? Strength multiplied several times? Sounded like nonsense.

Makarov cautiously added,

"Multiplying someone's strength isn't impossible, but the actual result depends on the Mage's magic power."

Even so, the Guild members still didn't take Aux very seriously— because in their eyes, support magic was support magic.

Natsu stopped fighting Gray and ran up to Aux.

"Aux! Give me an Addition! Preferably something that lets me knock out that exhibitionist with one punch!"

Gray glared and retorted,

"Aux, don't listen to him. Give me an Addition so I can freeze that idiot into an ice sculpture."

The members grabbed snacks and drinks again.

The show was starting.

Gray and Natsu continued arguing endles —nothing new to the Guild.

"You two are so noisy…" Aux sighed. Their constant arguing was giving him a headache.

"It's no use, Aux," Happy commented while holding a fish.

Standing on the counter, he casually took a bite. "Natsu and Gray always argue. They'll stop only when they get tired."

Aux let out a long breath.

It was time to shut them up—and maybe show everyone what he could really do.

He raised his Magic Staff and murmured an incantation.

Makarov, still seated on the counter, quietly narrowed his eyes as he watched.

"High-Tier Addition Magic: Personality Swap!"

The tip of Aux's staff lit up.

A white flash enveloped Natsu and Gray at once.

[Ding! Addition Magic detected. Infinite Addition upgraded to: Personality Swap Lv. MAX.]

Buzz— The system pushed the effect straight to max level.

Everyone's attention sharpened immediately, curious to see what support magic truly looked like.

"Pfft—!! Cough! Cough!"

Makarov suddenly spat out his drink upon hearing the incantation.

He choked violently, staring wide-eyed at Aux.

High-Tier Addition Magic!?

Had he heard correctly?

How could someone so young use something that advanced!?

He quickly turned to look at Natsu and Gray.

"It's hot! Why is it so hot!?" Natsu froze, then his expression twisted in disgust.

"It's freezing! Why is it so cold on a hot day!?" Gray hugged himself, shivering uncontrollably.

"Are their brains broken? Why is Natsu saying it's hot? Why is Gray saying it's cold?" Macao rubbed his forehead. Maybe he had drunk too much.

"Get lost, I'm Gray!"

"I'm Natsu!"

The names coming out of their mouths didn't match their appearances.

Both of them froze.

Slowly… stiffly… they turned to look at each other.

"You—you—you…"

Gray pointed at Natsu with trembling fingers, his mind short-circuiting.

"You and I swapped bodies!!!"

Natsu reacted faster, shouting it out loud.

The entire Guild went silent—then instantly erupted.

"It's Aux's magic!" Levy exclaimed.

Cheers followed as the members burst into excitement.

Support magic that could do this was insane.

"Natsu and Gray swapped bodies!?" Happy gasped, flying over. He landed on Natsu's head.

Natsu quickly waved him away, "Shoo! Shoo! I'm Gray, don't sit on my head!"

Happy pouted and moved to Gray instead.

Makarov leaned forward urgently, "Aux, that was High-Tier Addition Magic, wasn't it?"

High-Tier Addition Magic was completely unlike ordinary Addition.

The normal kind only provided simple boosts. High-Tier Addition produced miraculous effects.

But mastering it required a deep understanding of Addition Magic…

And an enormous pool of magic power.

Makarov had met only a few Mages with standard Addition Magic in his entire life.

High-Tier Addition, however…

He had never even heard of anyone using it.

And today, he had witnessed it personally.

"What's High-Tier Addition Magic!?" Natsu yelled, fanning himself like crazy.

"Undo it already! I'm dying from this heat! How does that idiot Natsu stand this!?"

Gray snapped, "Shut it, droopy eyes! This furnace of a body is freezing me to death!"

Even with swapped bodies, they continued arguing nonstop.

Aux rubbed his temples.

"I'm not very skilled in High-Tier Addition Magic. If you want to switch back… it'll take three days."

"What!!!"

Natsu and Gray immediately froze.

Three days!?

Natsu panicked, "Quit joking! I was planning to take a job! How am I supposed to work like this!?"

Gray shouted, "I'd rather die than stay in this guy's body for three days!"

"Scoundrel!"

"Idiot!"

"Exhibitionist!"

"Fireball-brain!"

The arguing resumed even louder.

If Erza weren't standing nearby watching them, the two would already be throwing punches.
