'No, it's fine. They may look ugly, but they are an incredible race. A powerful race. A race I will depend on…'
'They are my Jerries…' James shrugged before watching as his race continued growing rapidly, and his Collective Energy also continued increasing.
And finally, the time came.
[Grace Period has ended. World Gods and Race Spirits can now wage wars against each other]
'Thankfully I did not pick a world with a World God. There is no way my species would be able to survive something like a tsunami or volcanic eruption… or even just fighting against all other living creatures on a planet,' James sighed in relief.
The Jerries now numbered almost 200,000 in population. It would seem that it should have been way higher, given how much time had actually passed. However, as it turned out, the Collective Energy, instead of becoming a beneficial aspect, became a burden.
As the population rose in number, the average net Collective Energy gained between the deaths and spent on the births had been reduced to about 1.1, thus even with the birth-rate boosts, he simply ran out of Collective energy too quickly to allow for the doubling, or even a 1.5 times increase in the population.
[Time increase has been set to 1:1 for all worlds with World Gods, and 1:10 for those without]
[The Evolution Mutation benefit has ended. Chance of mutation has returned to the natural genetic chance. Goodluck…]
'Well… isn't that ominous…' James sighed. He knew there was something odd about the whole system, he had felt it long ago, and had asked the system directly, only to be clearly rejected about his suspicions.
'The Guilty are always the first to deny or distract,' James recalled the training he had received as an officer of the Third Reich.
James glanced at the traits he had collected for his ugly little Jerries over these past years and smiled, putting the ominous goodbye by the system to the back of his mind.

[Name: James Wehrmacht]
[Race Name: Jerry]
[Talent: Assimilation (Unique)]
[Every 100 years, you can choose an individual of your species, whose talent will become a passive trait of your species as a whole. The level of each trait is lower than the talent held by the original individual]
[Race Evolution: Tetrapoda]
[Interference Chances: 2/5 Remaining]
[Race Traits:]
[Radiation Absorption & Conversion: Convert absorbed radiation into energy to be used by the body, reducing food needs to near zero unless radiation is unavailable, and only keeping water needs which can be recycled for longer lasting effect]
[Warm Blooded: Maintain body heat utilising absorbed radiation and metabolic means]
[4-Chambered Hearts: Extremely efficient pumping action to circulate blood at high pressure across the body and collect low-pressure blood after circulation]
[4 Lungs: 4 lungs collecting air from direct intakes; which can be closed at will (1 for mouth/nose, 1 for pores on the skin]
[2 Hearts: Duplicitous heart utilised to improve circulatory capacity, efficiency, and speed when considering a set of 4 lungs supplying different levels of oxygen]
[Bipedal: Walk on two legs, allowing for the upper limbs to be utilised for other tasks]
[Metabolism control: Can control their metabolism, reducing it by 10% when needed, and increasing it by 10% when needed]

[Collective Intellect: The intellect of each individual depends on the number of individuals of the race alive. Can boost intelligence by 5% or reduce it by 5% depending on the number]
[2 Stomachs: Used to store consumed food, or increase the speed of digestion by 12% when needed. Size of each stomach has been reduced from the original size]
Although he had had more opportunities to take up talents as traits, none of them spoke out to him, or had severe side effects, and thus he decisively waited for better opportunities. Especially for the last ability, he had waited for what was effectively 10 centuries for the Collective Intellect trait.
Turning his attention back to his world; Neues Reich, 'Now the chances of regular evolution has been reduced greatly, and the time speed-up has also been reduced. I suppose it is not time to give the Jerries what they crave… technology… And with technology… comes civilisation!'
{Sorry for the short chapter. I fell ill. Still am ill, but after taking some meds, I felt a little better and scrabbled together this chapter. Please, I request people to give suggestions as I clearly did not think this story through. But I really like writing it… I know, it is very odd. What can I say, I like creating worlds, and stories. I like imagining stories from beginning to end, but getting through things like conversations and actual sub-plots is rather difficult for me, as someone who was never too good at English as a subject.}
