Aiko stood there in silent. Seems like I caught her. She looked at the small group that she was leading, giving them a command to stop.
She dropped her physical weapon, walking closer to me. The young girl began to speak, brushing her brown hair aside.
"So, you remembered what happened then, I assume?"
She looked back at the group then at me. Before I had a chance to answer, she took my arm and began dragging me somewhere.
"What are you doing to Gyungho-ssi!?"
Chin-hae shouted, running towards us. I sighed, I can't stop him, I don't know how to stop him, to be exact. I was confused myself, where is she taking me?
Seems like that annoyed the girl, Aiko stopped, turning her head around. Her sharp gaze glaring intensely at Chin-hae, making the poor man back down and ran back to where he was. She's pretty strong…
I smirked, looking at her. I started talking in a joking manner. If I wanted to go up against a psychopath then I must be one myself.
"So, why did you put on the act then?"
I looked as she let go of my arm, opening a door infront of us. Inside was a somewhat fancy place, it looked better than at the station for sure.
"Not even the dokkaebis can get here, don't worry."
Okay, well she ignored my question. I guess it's not the best time to bring it up then. I looked as the door behind us disappeared. Seems like another skill of hers, I assume.
"Why should I be? Are you going to kill me?"
I looked at her, those sharp eyes were glaring at me as if I was a meal she was goung to devour. I'm pretty sure she's the person that was spying on me this whole time. The pair of eyes that were watching me, it was hers, I can't be mistaken.
"How did you remember that?"
She stood up, her face clearly anxious. Aiko stares at me, waiting for an answer. I went and sat down on a chair, infront of her. I looked as she calmed herself and sat back down.
"You were only acting as if you forgot it didn't you?"
She grinded her teeth, the girl was filled with anger. I leaned back into the chair, inspecting the area.
It was most certain that this space was made by her and it only exists within the game system. Did she hacked the code perhaps? Either way, it was pretty impressive… I could use someone like her, having her on the team would be a great advantage.
"You tried to kill me because you're the wolf, aren't you?"
I stopped for a brief moment before continuing. If she was the wolf then wouldn't she needs to kill me?
"You got me here to finish the work you couldn't while we were in my dream."
I smiled, getting up. I stretched a bit and looked at her surprised face. Maybe it was just me overthinking about the situation.
"I-i…"
"Stuttering now? This isn't like you, ruler of dreams."
Why am I calling her that name? It felt as if I've known her for a long time. I shook my head, trying to forget about it. Infact it wasn't only her, I have a sense of deja vu with every faces I've seen. The deaths that happened.
Maybe it was just me, maybe I just miss the old world where I worked my ass off to barely survive the month.
「Something is growing within you…」
What is this notification…? What's growing within me? As I was about to fall in one of those deep thoughts session again, a voice woke me up.
"You were never meant to be there. Not that soon atleast."
I looked at the notification, turning it off then looking back at Aiko. I know what she meant by it. I was supposed to be a pawn in her game, nothing more.
"You've recieved a rule that none of us had, your brother too."
I stopped for a moment to see her expression then continued. Surely a wolf had a different set of rules, I'm not sure about her brother, it could be one of them or both. The twins were most likely wolfs.
"Am I right?"
She shook her head, still denying the fact that she's the wolf. I'm sure if I can convince the crowd somehow. I'm starting to think that she's not the imposter.
"The people won't believe you even if it was true that I'm a wolf. You know that very well."
"Is this you admitting?"
I laughed, looking at the calm psychopath infront of me. She seriously admitted to being the wolf and I have no evidence of it. This is so dumb.
The girl stood up, pulling out a long sharp sword, pinning it against my neck. I let out a nervous laugh. I had no idea why I was doing this dumb move. I could clearly die if I mess this up.
"Laugh one more time and I'll rip that mouth off of you."
"Jeez, were you youngsters this rude?"
I looked as her sword evaporated, that is one amazing skill she had… Aiko had amazing talents, it's a shame I can't get her on the same team as me.
"You can take your leave."
She sat back down on the sofa. Seems like the conversation won't continue. I wonder what this young girl got in store for me. All I know is sleeping is possibly going to kill
Me.
"I'll see you later then…"
She took out a plate of cookies and a cup of tea. Wow, while people might be suffering and desperately finding for anything edible to fill themselves, she's sitting here like a spoiled princess and getting whatever she wants…
I turned around, walked out of the door and back into the subway. There's still one person I need to learn about Riyu Kagami, the other twin out of this psychotic duo.
As soon as I stepped outside of the room, I was met with the scene of what seems to be a massacre. People screams were ringing in my head.
What the hell happened when I was gone? Sweats began to form on my face. Is Chin-hae alright? Did Mary took him somewhere safe?
I could swear I was only gone for around 3 minutes… something is wrong, how did things end up like this?
I started running, every step I take just shows more chaos, dead bodies and people running for their lives.
"Gyungho-ssi! Run!"
I look as a figure approached me. He was running in the other direction… well that's surely a sign for me to turn around. I took his hand and ran. I really needed an explanation for this one.
"I'll tell you what you want later, just follow me."
Chin-hae and I ran to the train tracks, jumping down and hid there for a while. I looked over to the man who was barely breathing.
"So, do I deserve an explanation now?"
Chin-hae took a deep breath before he started talking. The man looked at me, sweat and a bit of blood was dripping down his face. He was dirty, he looked as if he survived living on an abandoned island.
"Where were you?! Me and Mary were looking for you everywhere. We were so damn worried, you left us and went with that Aiko girl for 3 hours without a single explanation."
3 hours… I only had a short conversation with Aiko, could it be that time flows differently in that room? I can't think of a good reason for what happened…
Chin-hae looked at my shocked face, letting out a relieved but slightly annoyed sigh. He began talking again after relaxing.
"After you went away, Mary came and scared the small group away."
"That doesn't explain the bloody mess and why you were running."
I answered, frowning, this whole situation is so damn messed up. I swear, I'll kill the creator of this whole messed up game.
"Some crazy man just started to chase and started rapidly killing. After someone managed to kill him and stopped the chaos for a while…"
Chin-hae stopped. That's horrifying, who the hell would even consider that? I looked at Chin-hae.
"Was the man a wolf?"
"I-I thought that too… we threw the body out the game arena, it exploded but the game notification didn't say anything."
A sheep that was helping the wolf… what could he have possibly got out of that deal? Unless, the man didn't do it by choice… was he forced or manipulated? Seems like this is when the game really starts…
All I could do now was sit around and hide. We had no choice, I didn't know what we were going to fight. It was a nightmare, not being able to do anything.
I could see Chin-haw getting more and more uncomfortable by the second, having to listen to people scream and cry out for help wasn't easy.
As we sat there waiting, I could feel something coming. Whatever it is, it's definitely after us. I can hear heavy footsteps shaking up the ground. I looked over at the nervous Chin-hae. We had to get out of here.
Something bad is surely coming our way and I'm not sure I can fight it. I stood up slightly, taking a peek to see what might be coming for us.
"Chin-hae… what the fuck is that?"
The man stood up as well and checked in curiosity. Infront of our eyes were a creature beyond our imagination. It had a fiery coat of what seems to be fur, I'll assume this is why some of the corpses I've seen looked burnt.
The creature had no eyes yet it still moves swiftly, it looks almost wolf, I can say at most. It had a pair of thick long horns, in the middle was what seems to be a piece of crystal, floating between the horns.
I looked as the wolf-like creature looks my way, I took Chin-hae's hand and sat down quietly. I'll assume the thing had some sort of supernatural hearing senses due to the lack of the the 5 senses.
Chin-hae looked at me in horror then began to whisper as quietly as he can. Seems like he'd also caught on with the senses. It's only a theory, but it's better to be safe then sorry.
"H-he's… He was one of the people that attacked us."
Chin-hae pointed over to the wolf-like creature's leg that looked somewhat like a human's arm. What kind of possibly man-made abomination am I looking at?
