Chapter 3 - Chapter 2 - A Strange World And A Strange One

In confusion where the roots of that elder began to shudder, it wriggled and approached its tip to my forehead, the haze in my head clamored against my consciousness and soon the shadows became the darkness that gazed and engulfed me. Strange, as a child I should've been afraid, yet the blood in my veins doesn't boil nor my bones clatter and act from rage. Because there's no waves to where the calm ocean is.

Then the soft rummaging wind touches my nose, the grass caressing the dark skin of mine. Soon the green eyes I held met the world I couldn't recognize.

There were no floating islands. No rivers that ways the path to the winds or rivers crossing the hills of always changing.

Everything was otherworldly, even the winds were not the winds I knew, it was a different world.

"Where am I?"

Lost without answers is what I could tell. I stood on my ground.

"Earthy?"

I questioned and stared down to the earth that I thought was always with me. I was wrong, everything here is different, not just the wind but the earth as well. It was the first time the earth has given me the silence I never thought of before. And with widened eyes in an unfamiliar world, I cried.

"WAHHHHHHHHH-!"

The nearby grass rummaged, the solace of loneliness was far too great, it felt like I was abandoned by everything. I looked and there was a surprise, a blonde hair popping out of it.

"Hmmm? a kid?"

"H-huh?" I stepped back.

"Mimosa..."

I looked at him. Those were the eyes of someone who was enamored, something was filling me. Strange, was it normal for a faenas to feel such feelings? The feeling of freedom before and now was different, something arduously striking like a forbidden kiss that was not meant to be was to be meant to kiss. Contradicting, isn't it?

He blushed and composed himself.

"You, what's your name?" he asks smugly.

"My name?"

My runny nose, my sniffles stopped. My wail of a once in a first time was interrupted. Who are you to stop me from crying?

"Enuen."

"Hmm weird name."

My eyebrows couldn't help but furrow from his first time commentary, it was a first and it didn't feel good. His presence was uncanny somehow that feeling brought me a sense of security in a bizarre motion of feelings. The reason is that I was charting to unknown territories I've been in before.

"You?"

"Hmph. You don't deserve to know that."

I was confused, should I really cry? I was tempted to. And hands rush to my mouth as if to stop me.

"You were about to cry aren't you?"

Sniffle "Mhm."

"Sorry."

Such a dry response yet even if lies were instructed the way it was wired by the mouth, the eyes always speak the truth that is the doorway to one's soul. He was worried.

"Mimosa is such a crybaby" He uttered to himself.

"Uh?" I tilted my head.

"You didn't hear it. Hmph those are good ears, definitely." He nodded.

This devil, if the devil possesses one; this one is the one.

"WAHHHHHHHH!-"

"SHOOT I-I'm sorry!"

That was the first time I was able to cry from someone's banter. It was like the waves of the ocean, both cruel and sweet. His voice was like rhyming sounds of the goats, bickering its mouth like eating grass. Petty. However, such feelings were new once more to me. Many things happened yet I just let it happen.

Suddenly my stomach grumbled, annoyed and displeased, it demanded satisfaction.

"I'm hungry..."

"I-I can make it to you with food! yes food! definitely!"

His hands opened. It smelled like death. So lonely, the patterns it shows were things that weren't to be were to be. Yet here is his hand offering me not a gift that gives something to my entirety but a sate to my needs. But then he covers it with a white towel.

"Uhm, will you come with me?"

His lips spoke words in actions, it pursed. I wonder why?

"Why are you..."I tilted my head, deeming myself clueless again.

"It's a secret."

I waved the piece that covered and touched him before he could react.

"Wait!"

He shouted and attempted to let go, but his shoulders that stiffened, slowly but surely softened. His eyes lit in calm surprise. It was wonderful seeing those purple eyes.

"Huh...no way..."

"What is it?"

"..."

He fell silent. And that silence was exchanged with the clashing walls of my stomach sounding the hunger to be sated.

"I'm so hungry..."

Those hands then gently placed itself in the right place. In my hands. That once lonely figure, that essence of solitude washed away by the deluge of knowing. He and I surely felt that when our hands clasped in rest with each other, he knew and I knew that it was right.

"Alright! I'll buy you food!"
