Chapter 12 - Reverse chastity world chapter 12

Chapter 12 – Saeko's Point of View

It's strange how one ordinary school day can turn into something unforgettable.

Before he came, my life was quiet — invisible, even. I was just another girl in a world overflowing with girls. But after he entered our class, everything changed.

They say boys are the rarest existence in this world.

One boy for every ten girls for marriage.

That's the law of our society now — a result of "The Ratio Collapse" from decades ago. Boys are like precious gems: protected, adored, and in most cases, owned. Every school has maybe one or two boys at most, and they're treated like living treasures.

But Haruya… he was different.

The moment he stepped into class that day, the entire atmosphere shifted.

Even the sunlight felt like it wanted to touch him. His silver hair caught the light like it had its own glow, and his calm expression carried something mysterious, something real. It wasn't just that he was beautiful — he carried himself like someone who didn't care about the attention, and that made every girl want him even more.

I still remember that silence when he introduced himself. Every girl's heart stopped, even mine. But I was smarter than most — I kept my head down, pretending to take notes. Still, I could feel it — the jealousy, the envy, the hunger that spread through the room like wildfire.

The girls in our class aren't bad people, not all of them, but in a world where men are rare, affection becomes a competition, not a feeling.

When a boy speaks, every girl listens.

When he smiles, every girl imagines a future.

And when he looks at someone — even once — the rest start to hate her.

So when Haruya smiled that innocent smile and said, "Nice to meet you all," I knew I was already in danger… because I couldn't stop looking.

---

Lunch break.

The classroom turned into chaos. Every girl wanted to sit close to him. Some even "accidentally" dropped their pens near his desk just to start a conversation. It was pathetic, but also sad — they were acting like they didn't care about dignity anymore.

I stayed silent, eating my lunch alone by the window. Watching from a distance, I felt a strange mix of admiration and guilt.

He looked… tired.

Smiling politely, nodding to every girl, answering the same questions again and again.

"What's your favorite food?"

"Do you have a girlfriend?"

"Can I walk home with you?"

They didn't see it, but I did — that quiet sigh he let out when they turned away for a moment. Like he was pretending to enjoy it, but deep down, he wanted peace. I understood that. I've seen boys like him before — surrounded by attention, but completely alone.

---

When the final period came, our homeroom teacher — Miss Yuzuki — walked in. She's one of the few people in school who acts professional around boys. Still, even she couldn't completely hide the way she looked at him. That soft smile, that little pause before calling his name — it was there.

Everyone does it.

Everyone wants to feel special in front of a boy.

I tried not to stare at him again, but it was hopeless. My heart wouldn't listen. I thought I was being subtle, but then it happened.

He looked back.

For a second, our eyes met. My stomach dropped, my mind went blank. I quickly looked away, pretending to fix my notebook, but I knew he saw me. That small, gentle smile on his face proved it.

And then… after class ended, when I was quietly packing up my things, I heard footsteps.

Closer.

Then a calm voice.

"Hey, are you okay?"

That voice. That voice.

I froze. The world just stopped. I turned around slowly, and there he was — Haruya, standing right next to my desk. So close that I could feel his warmth. My brain shut down completely.

"Y-yes! I-I'm fine, Haruya-sama!"

The words stumbled out like broken glass. My face burned, my palms were sweating.

He chuckled lightly. "You don't have to be so formal. Just Haruya is fine."

That line hit harder than any confession could. In a world where even saying a boy's name without honorifics was considered too intimate, he just said it like it was nothing.

I swear, the room went silent.

Even the air froze.

Every girl turned to look. Their eyes were daggers — sharp, cold, and deadly.

Some glared openly, others whispered behind their hands. But all of them were thinking the same thing:

Why her?

Why me?

I didn't even know. Maybe he just wanted to be kind. Maybe he noticed I was quiet. Maybe… he just wanted a normal conversation. But to them, it didn't matter. I had already crossed the line by existing in his attention.

When he handed me his contact info, I couldn't even react.

"Here," he said casually. "If you ever need help with studies or anything about the school, just text me."

He smiled again.

That gentle, pure smile that felt like it could melt all the pain in this fake world.

My heart screamed, Say something, Saeko!

But my mouth only managed a small, trembling, "O-okay… thank you, Haruya."

He waved and walked out.

And the moment he left, chaos began.

---

The whispers were instant.

"She must've flirted with him when we weren't looking."

"I bet she's pretending to be shy."

"She's not even that cute."

"Unbelievable, she got his number?"

I wanted to disappear. My legs were shaking, and I could barely hold my bag. But no matter how much they whispered, deep down… I was happy.

For once in my life, someone had noticed me. Not because of how I looked, not because of popularity — but because he saw me.

As I stepped out of the classroom, I saw him again near the gate. His black luxury car was waiting, surrounded by security drones — typical for male students. He turned slightly before entering and waved toward me.

I froze.

Did he really just—

Yes, he did.

He waved. At me.

A wave that felt like a small blessing from heaven.

The other girls saw it too. Their expressions twisted between disbelief and rage. I felt their glares stabbing into my back as he left in that car, sunlight catching his silver hair like a halo.

Every girl's face was red — not with love, but with envy.

And I?

I just stood there, smiling like a fool.

---

When I reached home, I threw my bag onto the bed and grabbed my phone. My fingers trembled as I looked at his contact. "Haruya 💙."

It felt unreal.

I wanted to message him — just a simple "Thank you."

But I stopped.

If someone found out… they'd ruin me. Girls have been expelled before for fake rumors, hacked messages, even false accusations. In this world, a girl's reputation is fragile, especially when it's tied to a boy.

I sighed and fell on my bed, staring at the ceiling.

My heart was still racing.

In my mind, I replayed every word he said. Every smile. Every tiny moment.

Maybe it's stupid. Maybe I'm dreaming too much.

But even if tomorrow the entire class turns against me — even if they start spreading rumors or writing hateful things — I don't care.

Because for once, I was the one he noticed.

And that one small moment… is worth every jealous glare in the world.

---

Still, I can't help but wonder.

Why me?

He could have talked to anyone. The beautiful ones, the confident ones, the ones who spend hours fixing their hair for him.

But he chose to talk to me — the quiet one in the back row. The one no one notices.

I smiled softly to myself. Maybe… just maybe, he saw something the others didn't.

---

Tomorrow's going to be hard. I can already tell.

The girls will whisper more, stare more, maybe even try to talk to me pretending to be nice — all fake.

But I'll face it.

Because I have something they don't — a moment with him.

And no one can take that away from me.

To be continued…

Author's Note – From King_Fuzu

Hello everyone, King_Fuzu here.

Let me clear up a few things about this chapter, especially about Saeko's point of view.

A lot of you might think Haruya was tired during lunch and overwhelmed by all the attention — but that's not true. Saeko misinterpreted everything.

In reality, Haruya was actually enjoying every bit of it.

Remember, he's from another world — a world where things are completely opposite. Getting surrounded by girls and admired like that was something new and thrilling for him. So while Saeko saw a "tired" boy, he was secretly having the time of his life.

And yes, I know many of you felt bad for Saeko — she's shy, sweet, and totally in love. But don't worry, she's part of the main harem, and her story has just started.

Now, about why Haruya gave only her his number…

Simple — he found her stunning. Not just her looks, but the quiet confidence she hides. Among the entire class, Saeko stood out to him — and that caught his attention.

So don't misunderstand Haruya's actions.

Everything he does has a reason — and trust me, the real story behind his choices is just beginning.

Stay tuned, readers. The next chapter will reveal more about how Haruya truly thinks in this reversed world.
