Chapter 13 – My new plans
The ride back home felt longer than usual, maybe because my bodyguards couldn't stop glancing at me from both sides.
Yeah, both sides. I was sitting between two tall, strong women who looked more like models than guards. One of them, Ayame, had short black hair and serious eyes that never seemed to blink. The other, Reika, had long brown hair tied neatly behind her head, but her smile could make even a confident man lose focus.
Both were silent, alert, and very… close.
Too close.
The car's leather seat was soft, the engine quiet, and outside the glass, the city rolled by under the golden afternoon sun.
I sighed softly. What a day…
My first day at school in this world. A world where men are as rare as diamonds — and treated almost the same way. Every hallway I walked through felt like a red carpet. Every girl I talked to looked at me like I was some kind of celebrity fallen from the sky.
At first, I thought it would be awkward.
Now? I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy the attention.
Especially at lunch…
Yeah, that part was fun.
---
"Young master, we've arrived." Ayame's calm voice snapped me back.
The luxury car stopped in front of a large mansion surrounded by well-trimmed gardens and a small water fountain in front. The sun reflected off the white marble tiles, and everything looked almost unreal — even after living here for weeks, I still wasn't used to it.
I stepped out, stretching my arms a bit. The moment my shoes touched the ground, the main door opened.
"Welcome home, young master!"
It was Rika, our family butler — yes, female butler — standing there with a warm smile. She was in her late twenties, always composed, always polite. She took my school bag immediately.
"Thank you, Rika," I said with a nod.
"I hope your first day at the new school went well?"
I smiled faintly. "Yeah, it went… interesting."
---
The moment I stepped inside, I barely got a second to breathe before hearing quick footsteps.
Then — bam!
"Haruuu~!"
Before I could react, I was pulled into a tight hug that nearly crushed me. My mother's long, silky hair brushed my face as she squeezed me in her two big ample bosom like I was still five years old.
"Oh my little Haru! I missed you so much!" she said, her voice soft but full of emotion. "Did any girl hurt you? Tell me right now!"
"Mom—" I managed to speak between the hug, "I'm fine! It's just school, not a battlefield."
She finally let go but kept holding my shoulders, her eyes full of concern.
"This is your first day in a co-ed school. You know how rare boys are, right? I was so worried, Haru!"
"I know, I know…" I replied with a small smile. "You think too much about me."
She sighed and smiled, brushing my hair like always. "Of course I do. You're my only son. And you know how precious you are to me."
---
After a few more minutes of her questions —
I starting going towards my room.
I threw myself onto the bed. It felt like heaven after the long day.
Pulling out my phone, I unlocked the screen and smiled slightly. "Hmm… today I gave my number to that girl. Saeko, right?"
Her shy face flashed in my mind.
That moment when I handed her my number, she looked like her brain froze. She could barely form words, her hands trembling, her voice tiny like she was whispering to herself.
I chuckled. "She's different from the others."
Most of the girls I met in school were too confident, too forward, almost like they were competing for a trophy. But Saeko… she wasn't like that. She was quiet, nervous, and looked at me like I was something she couldn't believe existed.
"That's what made it cute," I said to myself, smiling at the memory.
---
I turned over on the bed, staring at the ceiling.
"This is just the beginning," I muttered. "My journey's going to be long — and maybe fun (๑¯◡¯๑)."
Saeko was the first girl I gave my contact to, but she wouldn't be the last. My goal was clear: build connections, learn about this world, and maybe… form my own circle.
Or as I liked to call it — my harem.
"Yeah," I laughed softly. "My first harem member."
The thought of it made me grin. It wasn't about collecting girls like trophies — no. It was about understanding this strange world, one girl at a time. Each with her own story, her own charm, her own way of seeing men.
In the previous world, I never got the chance to experience something like this. I was just a normal guy. But now… this was a world where being a man meant power, admiration, and influence.
---
As I scrolled through my phone, I noticed no messages from Saeko — Saeko hadn't messaged yet. Maybe she was too nervous.
"Yeah, she's probably panicking, wondering if it's okay to text first," I thought, amused.
Still, I felt a little strange. Not bad — just thoughtful.
---
I stood up and walked to the window. Outside, the sunset painted the sky with warm orange and pink. The city lights were just starting to glow.
I looked at my reflection on the window — tall, handsome, confident.
A smirk crossed my face. "I'll become something they can't ignore."
---
Then a crazy idea popped into my mind.
"What if I become an actor?"
I laughed a little, but then paused. It actually made sense.
In this world, male actors were few — and honestly, terrible. Their acting was stiff, emotionless, almost robotic. But because they were men, everyone still adored them.
I sat back down and thought more seriously.
"In my old world, acting was my dream," I whispered. "I never got the chance to chase it. Maybe this time I can."
If I became an actor here, it would be so much easier. The competition was almost nonexistent. I had the looks, the charm, and experience from watching real cinema back then.
And once I gained fame?
Finding new wives for my "harem project" would be easier than ever.
I couldn't help but laugh. "Ha! That's a damn brilliant idea."
---
But then, I sighed. "Still got a long way to go."
Right now, I was just a high school first-year student. There was time — a lot of it — to plan, prepare, and shape myself into someone great.
Maybe that's what this world wanted from me.
Maybe that's what I wanted from myself.
To build something more than just a name.
To live a life that mattered — both for me and the people who believed in me.
---
I laid down again, closing my eyes.
Tomorrow, it would start again — the same whispers, the same stares, the same giggles from girls every time I passed by. But this time, I'd walk with a different smile.
Because I had a plan now.
Saeko might be the first, but she wouldn't be the last.
This world had given me a rare chance — and I was going to make the most of it.
"Let's see," I whispered, smiling faintly, "how far this dream can go."
The sound of the evening breeze slipped through the open window, and I drifted off, lost in thoughts of fame, love, and the mysterious road ahead.
