Nazareth sat with his eyes closed on a sand-covered rock, peering at Astapor as the night lights from the city illuminated the darkness. As a small hum escaped Nazareth's lips, it became obvious to him that there was a new presence in the darkness surrounding him. Naz listened closer as the sound of claws digging into the sand-covered ground was all that could be heard, with a silent hiss of a lizard escaping from behind Nazareth.
Nazareth's left eye opened to see Viserion with its head tilted, looking at Nazareth. Surprise arose within Nazareth's mind as to why Viserion, who out of the three was neither the smallest, with Rhaegal holding that position, nor the largest, with Drogon holding that title, was this close to him. The dragon edged closer towards Nazareth with not a hint of fear or hunger like the three had previously shown to any who attempted to touch or get near them.
Nazareth was cross-legged with his sword positioned across his lap, and with a single faint thought, the F&F activated, highlighting Viserion with an orangey-green that Nazareth had only seen on people such as Jorah and Daenerys. However, when Nazareth began to think whether this colour had appeared before on any of the three, Viserion got even closer.
Viserion's head moved downwards towards Nazareth's sword until his snout lightly pressed against the hilt. Nazareth watched as questions slowly occurred within his mind, as the hilt of the sword with a crusader's cross began to lightly shine.
Nazareth watched further as Viserion, in a quick action, looked from the hilt to Nazareth. Viserion's lizard-deep, icy blue eyes connected with Nazareth's obsidian red; both man and dragon watched one another before, with a snarl, Viserion turned and began walking back to the encampment where his brothers were.
This action made Nazareth begin pondering as to why Viserion, who was previously acting like the other of Dany's dragons, decided not to try to rip Nazareth's head from his body but instead took an interest in Nazareth's hilt.
As his eyes watched the dragon's body fully enter Dany's tent, his eyes looked towards the crusader's cross and the gem encrusted into the metal.
Nazareth's mind began to reel at the specifics of the sword, it being made from adamantium, necrodermis, and Valyrian steel. What had previously been dissuaded by Nazareth was the tiny font at the end of the description of the sword, saying that a farseer's soul stone was stored within the cross near the hilt.
With his discovery of that fine print, Nazareth's eyes were redirected to that gem only to see what seemed to be a 'being' swirling around, constantly folding upon itself.
As his eyes got closer to the gem, it became even more apparent that the gem's inhabitant was what Nazareth could make out to be, the soul of a farseer, by the way the system had described the gem.
A subtle shock overwhelmed Nazareth at the discovery that the soul of an Alderai was trapped within his sword's hilt. His mind began to process what to do with the obvious Xeno, the subtle indoctrination by the Emperor previously not active due to all the 'beings' he had had contact with being only humans or beasts.
This once subtle indoctrination of the hatred of Xenos rapidly began to increase its shout within Nazareth's mind to smash the gem and allow the xeno's soul to be eaten by the Great Enemy.
Thankfully, though, Nazareth's reason, having previously been put through an inhuman lack of contact for a year within the void while waiting for the great scattering of Primarchs, successfully suppressed this disgust, allowing Nazareth to think of a better way to use this soul.
Nazareth began to feel overwhelmed at (A) the discovery of a Farseer's soul within his sword and (B) Viserion's interest in the sword or soul.
Nazareth, however, decided to put off analyzing this discovery until the morning. Unbeknownst to Nazareth or the outpost, a being with multiple faces on a cliff overlooking both the Khaleesi's outpost and Astapor watched Nazareth stand and move back into the camp.
Date: 798.M30 – A full day after the horde's attack
Location: Shadowlands – Mechanicus outpost
Archer stood at the bodies of the animals that had previously attempted the breakthrough of his outpost. A faint sound of laz-fire and plasma shots could be heard as scouts and combat servitors cleared the wounded animals, which were hiding within the corpses of their fellow creatures.
Archer's attention, however, turned to a pile of Beta-class lifeforms, which the natives captured from the attack had designated as dragons. These dragons, ranging from a few meters in length to a terrifying length of a hundred and fifty, were piled in an artificial hill of their own bodies.
Two Warhounds were constantly scouting the surroundings of the battlefield, as the remainder were in standby mode/recuperation for any future attacks and the rearmament of their ammunition, of which ten were completely empty from the previous day's fighting.
As Archer watched, the pile of dragons began to slowly burn as servitors equipped with Promethium flamers shot fire over the pile. Slowly, the bodies began to ignite within themselves as the small bodies began to explode, with the largest creating a very large crater where the pile was previously laid.
Archer watched as the once formidable dragons were completely burned and turned to ash. The contingent of Genetors that had accompanied the expedition crew watched the burning and currently exploding pile of dragons and corpses with annoyed looks. Previously, before the end of the fighting, the Genetors had protested Archer's use of Promethium upon the corpses, which could have been used for analysis; however, when Archer began to berate the Genetors for the fact that when a flak missile was launched, the beast thought to be dead as it fell from the sky began to flap its wings and recover, causing more damage as it spewed fire onto the servitors and Skitarii.
Archer finished inspecting the battlefield, turned, and began to walk back into the command center without another word. As Archer's back was turned, a Genetor silently, with one of its tendrils, took a piece of flesh belonging to an unexploded tentacle-covered dragon and moved the piece into a container near his abdomen.
As Archer arrived and reconnected with the command center, all the information from the previous battle, including reports of the number of servitors lost and Skitarii melted or mauled to death, caused a bit of anxiousness to appear within Archer's composed mind before the thought was crushed as he remembered the overclocking of every unit within the Mechanicus's outpost.
Archer held a meeting with the Princeps of the rearming Warhounds and the respective representatives of each aspect of the Mechanicus who had followed Archer to Noloyea after the Fabricator-General processed and confirmed the exploration of Noloyea.
As the meeting began, each representative took their vertical positions before a collective call of the meeting began. Archer, at the center of the call, began to explain what occurred within the command center as all representatives present offered their positions and actions when the overclocking event occurred.
As the meeting breached into the following day, the final account was recorded, and investigations began as to what or who could have caused even the mighty Titans to stall in their processes.
(AN: First of Helloooo everybody. Fortunately, I'm going on holiday! Unfortunately, I cannot continue this book until after :( Luckily for you and unluckily for me, my holiday will only last until either Halloween or the following Sunday/Saturday, all depends on when I return. Also, the reason why I can't write on holiday is simple. I write on a computer, all my files are here on my computer, and I won't be taking this piece of kit on my holiday, so womp womp. So yeah, erm, see you guys in a few days, and I wish to see you all again when I post the new chapter! Goodbye for now!!!!)
