Chapter 9 - Conquereriung of Astapor

As a new daylight washed over Nazareth, the sound of subtle footsteps was subtly making Nazareth's hearing become even more refined. Within his tent, the open door slits were suddenly flung open; the dazzling light quickly blinded Nazareth, and as his eyes adjusted to the sudden change of lighting, he looked towards the entrance to see Jorah looking at him.

Questions as to why Jorah suddenly opened Nazareth's tent were disrupted as Nazareth's eyes watched a small flick of skin rapidly compress near Jorah's neck.

At near-invisible speeds, Nazareth drew his sword and aimed it towards Jorah's neck. To Nazareth's surprise, however, the sword was quickly deflected by a dagger from the imposter's hand.

As Nazareth and the imposter began to trade blows, the tent that had been given to Nazareth by Daenerys - after Nazareth's evident dislike for sleeping on the ground (and near the Dothraki/"Savages") - was completely torn to shreds as the exchange of blows rapidly increased.

In the centre of Dany's Dothraki outpost, the sound of steel against steel rang outwards, drawing attention from every pair of eyes.

The Dothraki people watched in awe as, in their eyes, Jorah went strike for strike with Nazareth's sword, which was longer than Jorah himself.

Blow after blow was thrown by Nazareth onto the imposter; surprise was evident on his face as his sword, which could easily cut through a multitude of different types of steel and metal, wasn't cutting through the imposter's daggers. Nor could he understand how, despite Nazareth's full strength being placed into each swing, the attacker's hands had not snapped.

Daenerys was lying in her bed as the sound of sword fighting became louder and louder. She turned to see out of her tent's doors only to catch a glimpse of Nazareth, his blade above his head, slicing Jorah in two with terrifying speed and precision.

Immediately, Daenerys stood from her bed with her dragons and attendants - who had previously arrived in the Khaleesi's tent to awaken her to the fighting - following suit. As Daenerys walked into the open part of the outpost with her nightly attire still on, tears began forming in her eyes as she rushed to Jorah's corpse, which had been split head to ass in a perfect cut.

As she was about to pick up Jorah's corpse, a sudden black water washed over the imposter's body, revealing in Jorah's place a three-faced woman.

However, before Daenerys could react, Nazareth watched as the two pieces of the imposter were stitched back together and stood up, growling towards him. With a full-powered thrust of his sword, the three-faced intruder's head was sliced off neatly. Blood washed over Daenerys as the shock of what had just occurred became apparent in her eyes.

Once again, the body, now without a head, began to sink into the ground, with its head a few feet away following suit. Nazareth watched as the body fully melted into the coarse and rough sandy stone below.

The shock overwhelmed Daenerys as the Dothraki people, who had witnessed the whole scene, whispered about demons and devils. But before any could delve deeper, from a tent behind the amassing Dothraki came Jorah, who had watched the entire scene like the others. However, he was too frightened by the fact that the imposter had his face - and had been trading blows, or at least holding off Nazareth - to step forward.

"What in the Seven Hells was that!" Daenerys's shrill anger and fear were obvious as the question was directed toward Nazareth. Naz, in response, threw up his arms and gave a simple shrug before, with a half-handed statement, said something about Warlocks, Dragons, and the Slavers at Astapor.

As the statement about Slavers left Naz's mouth, Daenerys finally decided that every slaver - man and woman - was to die today at the dealing for the Unsullied.

Date – 299 AC

Location – The Plaza of Punishment (The Main Plaza)

(Everything occurred that day like in the TV show, avoiding the mention of certain topics. Missandei is also exchanged, like in the TV show.)

Nazareth stood near Daenerys as she slowly walked toward Kraznys, with Drogon flying above. The dragon was clearly agitated due to the chains keeping it from flying away to its brothers.

As Daenerys handed the dragon to Kraznys, in return she was given the scepter to control the Unsullied. Daenerys turned and looked over the amassed eight thousand Unsullied and began to speak about freedom and that they were no longer slaves. This statement alone meant nothing to the trained Unsullied as they had heard it before; however, to their surprise, Daenerys broke the scepter.

Nazareth watched as the scene before him played out like the TV show — with a quick exchange of insults from Kraznys about the unruliness of Drogon, and Daenerys's "Dracarys." Kraznys was burned to ash, his body blown by the wind and quickly dragged into the air, disappearing.

Immediately, shouts for guards and the rapid sound of Slavers running in panic were overwhelming. Daenerys turned towards the Unsullied and began to lay out the slaughter of Astapor.

The Unsullied, under the orders of their new master and Queen, quickly took formation as the guards surrounding the nearly eight thousand strong Unsullied were cut down. Blood and intestines were strewn across the plaza before, in an organized fashion, the Unsullied bled from the plaza into the center of Astapor.

Slavers were cut down; the spears of the Unsullied pinned and tore apart the Slavers with ruthless efficiency. Each time a slaver was killed, the freed slaves joined hands with the Unsullied, furthering the annihilation of Slavers in Astapor.

Of course, Nazareth wasn't just watching as the slaughter happened. Instead, he was in the house of Kraznys searching for anything valuable. Behind Nazareth lay a pile of corpses - each one either a guard or a slaver who had tried to run from Kraznys's execution by Daenerys.

A small, faint smile was on Nazareth's lips as he sorted through the previously living Kraznys's belongings. There were tiny blades of Valyrian steel here and there; however, most of Kraznys's belongings were books about Valyria and the Doom.

The books held little interest to Nazareth as he checked, using the system, how many points he had collected from the previous slaughter. Tally marks lined the system's rewards queue as "Slayed a Background Character No.159 – Pts gained: 10" constantly flew past Nazareth's eyes.

Happy was Nazareth as the total points amassed from his previous killing of the guards and Slavers gave a hefty total of 2000 pts. This neat sum gave Nazareth a satisfied feeling before he delved into Kraznys's possessions once again.

- Time – Three Hours since the Slaughter of Astapor began

Daenerys watched from the plaza walls as the city of Astapor burned. Howls of pain and anguish were the only sounds to be heard as the Unsullied and the now freed slaves hunted and cut down every Slaver who hadn't fled or been killed in the initial slaughter.

A faint chuckle of madness escaped Dany's mouth as her violet eyes showed tinges of red and orange within them. The sight of Astapor burning caused a subtle change within Dany as she watched the fires caused by the freed slaves engulf the Slavers' houses.

Seeing the carnage and destruction brought by the Unsullied, below the walls of the plaza gathered a small yet steadily growing mass of freed slaves chanting "Breaker of Chains," "Mother of Dragons," "Khaleesi," and finally "Queen."

These chants became louder and louder as every slave and Unsullied within Astapor chanted Daenerys' name. Nazareth, however, hearing the chanting, walked from Kraznys's collection of books and treasures, finding little to nothing that could interest him.

As Naz walked to the walls of the plaza toward where Daenerys stood, surrounded by Jorah, Missandei, and the newly acquired Grey Worm, the Unsullied selected to protect Dany stepped forward, pointing their spears toward Nazareth. Before a single word could escape Jorah's mouth, Nazareth's sword cleaved through the wood and metal, forcing the Unsullied to their knees.

As Nazareth shoved Jorah and the accompanying Unsullied away, he walked toward Dany before, in a quick motion, pulling Dany's head close, making the clearly mentally fragmented woman reorient herself at Nazareth's sudden appearance.
