I follow closely behind Kimmie like a child going to recieve punishment from their mother, as she leads me back to my chamber.
She slams the door behind us immediately we step into my room. I don't even get the chance to breathe before she lift her eyebrows up and folds her arms. She's no longer the calm maid but my fierce friend.
"What were you thinking going into that place?" she asks, her voice resounding. "Raya, you promised me that you won't go into the old archive without permission? But you still go ahead and went in without permission. Don't you know it's dangerous?"
I drop onto the edge of the bed, my heart still beating fast from everything that happened. "I was just curious," I spout inaudibly.
"Curious?" she repeats, walking closer. "You should have called me. I could've stayed with you. I could've watched the door for you."
I lift my head, guilt pushing down on my chest. "I… I honestly thought you wouldn't agree."
