"I'll survive this… and make you all regret it." Arthur gritted his teeth fiercely as he stood up, taking in his surroundings.
This was an E-Rank Dungeon and he knew he couldn't be careless; after all, he was merely a Level 1 Player…
'In the past, I have only explored F-Rank Dungeons due to my meager strength as I tried to increase my level to at least where I can awaken a physique, but unfortunately, my level seems stagnant no matter how many F-Rank beasts I kill!'
Arthur was angered by his own fate.
In truth, Arthur wasn't a soul from this world; he was a youth who loved playing Fantasy Games despite being diagnosed with cancer.
After his inevitable demise, he reincarnated into this world and gradually grew from a baby into the sixteen-year youth he was now.
'Damn, is it because I am not a Transmigrator that I don't possess a Cheat?' Arthur cursed internally but sighed and moved his thoughts towards his Spatial Ring.
This was a mysterious ring crafted by blacksmiths who awakened a Space-Related Ability. Using the ring, one could store all sorts of things within.
As Arthur accessed the ring, he retrieved an item; at the same time, he muttered aloud.
"Stats!"
Immediately, a glowing golden panel materialized in his line of sight.
After going through the stats, Arthur sighed and tightened his grip on the longsword in his hand.
Normally, anyone belonging to the Pendragon Family awakened as a Warrior; the same thing happened with his three sisters.
It was a surprise when Arthur, the only son of the King, actually awakened as a Summoner. Moreover, he awakened a variant class called, Calamity Summoner.
Just as Arthur was engrossed in the memory of his Class Awakening, a loud noise tore through the air.
"Uk glu tu…" Arthur's gaze snapped in their direction…
Goblins!
His eyes became stern as he stared at the green, humanoid creatures in front of him.
Their eyes glowed with a ferocious light, and in their hands, they held all sorts of weapons.
Numbering up to five, they charged at him simultaneously…
Arthur became tense, a trickle of sweat sliding off his bald head as he too charged at the approaching Goblins. He couldn't give them a chance to close the gap as he would quickly fall into a disadvantage.
Swoosh!
Arthur's sword moved swiftly towards the head of the Goblin in front, his hand gripping the hilt of his sword tightly.
Bang!
The sword collided with the Goblin's head and its neck was crushed as it vanished into golden specks of light into the surroundings.
[Killed a Goblin, loot dropped.]
The moment he delivered the strike, he swiftly rolled on the ground, moving to the side as the remaining Goblins' attacks hurled at the location he previously was at.
Arthur stood up, his breath ragged as he moved in for another attack while the Goblins were slightly distracted.
Swish…
He swung his sword with his right hand as it collided forcefully with another Goblin. Fortunately, this time around, the Goblin seemed to have expected the attack.
'Damn! They are far stronger than those things in the F-Rank Dungeon. Compared to this, those ones are merely child's play!"
Arthur thought with a nervous expression on his pale face.
Compared to the coordinated attacks of the Goblins in front of him, the Goblins of the F-Rank Dungeon who just attacked haphazardly could not be compared at all.
The battle just started and Arthur already felt as though he would lose his life any moment soon.
The moment his sword collided with the Goblin who dodged the fatal attack, Arthur retreated once more, maintaining the distance between them.
He watched closely, trying to study the movements of the Goblins as he closed in for an attack.
Swoosh.
Unfortunately for Arthur, the moment he moved close for an attack, out of his blind side, a spear moved swiftly, heading straight for his bald head.
'Damn, not my precious, flawless head…' Arthur exclaimed as he swung his sword to block it.
This gave the other Goblins a chance to regroup, and one of them even threw a fierce right kick toward Arthur.
"Fuck you…" Arthur cursed at the Goblin who released the spear attack as he retreated backwards.
Pant… pant… pant.
He inhaled and exhaled, taking deep breaths as he struggled to keep himself calm and his erratic beating heart steady.
"Auk hauk taai" the Goblins seemed to be discussing, gloating as they stared at Arthur's figure.
'I'm being mocked by creatures with low intelligence?' Arthur was stupefied and furious.
This was all his damned father's fault!
He thought for a moment, coming up with a plan internally.
Studying the movements of the rushing Goblins in front of him, Arthur reached into his Spatial Ring and retrieved an item.
Despite the fact that he behaved arrogantly, he still remained cautious internally, in case he encountered danger like this time.
Swoosh.
He tossed the object he just retrieved from his Spatial Ring onto the ground, causing it to explode with a loud Bang and release a foggy smoke into the surroundings.
Then, he moved once more, rushing in the direction of the Goblin he targeted previously, precisely the one with the spear…
Bang!
His sword pierced through its heart and a line of golden words appeared in his vision.
[Killed a Goblin, loot dropped.]
Taking the little time he had left until the Goblins regained their visibility, Arthur struck once more.
[Killed a Goblin, loot dropped.]
He grinned wickedly as the scene of carnage was revealed to his eyes.
"So, the E-Rank Dungeon is pretty easy after all. I can't wait to go back to my relaxing life back home…" Arthur thought with a smirk.
However, the next moment his smirk froze on his face as he felt something pierce through him.
'Shit!' Arthur cursed internally as he realized he was impaled by a sharp spear.
He struggled to turn his gaze around in the direction of the Goblins not too far away.
At some point, more than twenty Goblins had arrived, and leading them was a muscular Goblin who was two times the size of the remaining Goblins…
'This…" Arthur exclaimed in shock, as he felt the pain stinging throughout his body.
He coughed lightly, his blood dripping lightly onto the cold floor as his vision turned hazy.
He saw the muscular Goblin reach out towards the spear in one of the smaller Goblins' hands and point it in his direction before hurling it forward.
Swoosh!
Before Arthur could react, the Goblin's spear impaled his shoulder, crushing it directly and tossing him violently like a ragged doll, across the Dungeon's grounds.
Arthur was in a daze as he collapsed to the ground.
'Fuck… fuck… fuck… is this where I will die? I've always read about evil fates befalling those evil villains; is that the case with me?'
In the last moments of Arthur's life, he ruminated over how he lived and couldn't help but be speechless at how shameless the Gods were.
'I lived the way I wanted, what the fuck is the problem with that?'
Just as Arthur felt that all hope was lost, the golden panel in front of him flashed to life.
[Detected that the Host is in danger, automatically activating the Host's Class.]
[Preparing to summon… Insufficient Celestial Stone…]
[Scouting a one meter radius for Celestial Stone… None found.]
[Scouting a ten meter radius for Celestial Stone… None found…]
[Scouting a hundred meter radius for Celestial Stone… One found…]
[Activating Summoning Portal…]
[Summoning a Calamity from the Ancient Era…]
[A Summon has answered the call…]
[Congratulations on summoning Dragon Knight as your first Summon, please explore the System for the corresponding information…]
Arthur was speechless as he stared at the glowing golden words in front of him.
It was like a golden beacon of light he could cling onto.
Overjoyed, but still on the verge of losing his consciousness, Arthur could only stare at the Portal which had appeared. It looked like a deadly abyss harboring all sorts of abominations.
There was no time to think further; as Arthur could feel his consciousness darkening, he immediately called out…
"Please save me… my Summon…"
The abyssal, shimmering black Portal glowed with all sorts of multicolored runes as a figure clad in reddish-golden armor stepped out of it.
Its entire body was clad in steel and its eyes, beneath the mask, were unreadable…
There were all sorts of battle scars that ran around its armor and it radiated an intense, oppressive might that caused even the Goblins to freeze in their tracks as though they had encountered something terrifying.
Then, purple lightning crackled around the Dragon Knight as he raised his gleaming golden sword high into the air… and vanished from everyone's line of sight.
For the sake of the master… a bloodshed had begun!
