They sprinted toward ground zero. A titanic crater lay ahead.
At its center, smoke curled. The air reeked of molten rock cooling to stone.
As for the Dragon-level giant… probably dust.
"Whoa…" Saitama gaped, speechless.
Lin Mo drew a long breath, shaken to the core.
He knew Tornado was strong. But seeing the aftermath of her "hand-spun meteor" was something else. This was S-Class Rank 2…
Good thing that fight at HQ never happened. He wouldn't have lasted a move.
A green figure floated out of the crater and stopped before them.
Tornado of Terror.
Her curls whispered in invisible currents; her refined face wore open pride.
"Hmph. From alert to resolution, I took less time than it took you to get here."
Arms folded, chin tipped up, she looked him over like a judge, her voice full of victor's swagger. "So I was faster. I win. You admit you're inferior now, yes?"
Lin Mo hadn't said a word, but she seemed satisfied with his slightly dazed look.
She sniffed in contentment, wheeled around, and shot into the sky, vanishing like a green comet.
Lin Mo watched her go and managed a helpless smile. He didn't care about the bet—he cared about her coming back to pester him.
He sighed and called to Saitama, who was poking the hot meteor slag and muttering, "Ow, hot, hot."
"Let's go. The danger's over."

The day's city-hopping had wrung Lin Mo dry. He collapsed onto his sofa the moment he got home.
He zoned out until his stomach growled him back to reality.
"Right… I should've racked up a lot of Energy Points lately." He hadn't checked the system in a while.
That clothing ad ought to have paid out nicely—but he hadn't looked. The constant "ding"s had gone from cute to maddening, so he'd muted everything under 1,000 EP.

A pale-blue panel appeared before his eyes, visible only to him.

He shot upright, leaned in, and even poked the number like it might vanish.
He made that much from one ad? Why am I even fighting monsters!?
He wanted to scream. He'd underestimated how terrifying the title "Strongest Man Alive" was to ordinary folks' wallets.
Whatever. Business first. With a "fortune" on hand, plans blossomed.
"System, three C-tier pulls."

The panel shifted into a flashy prize wheel.
He confirmed with a thought. It spun.

"What a waste!" His eyes burned hot.
