Lucian heard this and was first shocked, then he quickly understood the point.
The invitation from the Lord of Ironforge seemed sudden, but when you think about it, there was actually nothing wrong with it.
Lucian was officially a 3 Stage Knight, and he was also a Baron officially granted by the Empire. Plus, when Lucian entered the city, he didn't try to hide his movements, so the Lord finding out wasn't really a surprise.
He gave a small nod, showing he understood the situation.
The servant who delivered the message gave a small nod and turned to leave.
After returning home, Lucian told Grace and Margarethe about this.
The two of them looked at each other and both saw some worry in each other's eyes.
Grace was okay, because Frostspire City was a small border town, but there were still noble banquets sometimes. As the daughter of the Lord, Grace had been to quite a few of them.
She might not be an expert in the etiquette, but she knew some of it.
But Margarethe was very nervous. The Zelle tribe was just a small tribe among the elves, and Margarethe had never been to a human noble banquet before. Plus, her awkward elf identity made her worried.
Lucian clearly knew this. He grabbed Margarethe's hands and said, "This isn't some noble banquet. No noble would start a banquet at 10 o'clock, and without knowing if we agreed."
"This is just a family dinner. And the reason the Lord of Ironforge wants to invite us is probably to get things sorted with us. Only you going can show our respect."
Grace added, "Yeah, if you don't go, and the Lord finds out you're Mr. Lucian's wife later, it would be worse."
Margarethe bit her lip and said, "But I'm an elf. I've never heard of an elf going to a human banquet like this."
She didn't finish her sentence before Lucian stopped her. He kissed her lips and said, "You're also the mistress of the Harrow family. You definitely have the right to go to this dinner."
Words couldn't match a deep kiss. Margarethe was so confused from the kiss that she just nodded like a obedient cat, and followed Lucian.
Grace saw this and smiled, then followed Lucian.
It wasn't long before it was ten o'clock at night.
It was strange, really. Aerilane's location was different from the planet Lucian had lived in before, but things like time and weather didn't change much.
This made Lucian curious for a while. If it wasn't for the complicated shape of the Aerilane continent, he might have thought it was the same place as his old world.
That was also why Lucian had adapted to this world quickly, without any major problems.
The three of them changed into their clothes and arrived at the Lord's mansion as planned.
Their clothes were very fancy, and they actually looked like noble ladies. The expensive clothes made their beauty even more striking.
This outfit was made specially for them by Lucian.
Even though he was just a 3 Stage Knight, he had seen a lot in his past life. And with his rich experience, even if he couldn't draw a design for a dress, he could describe it well enough for the tailors to make a few luxury yet modest evening gowns.
Even though it was just a family dinner, they still had to follow the rules. Lucian and his family were going to live in Ironforge for a while.
"You must be Lord Lucian." the Lord said, standing up when they entered the banquet hall. "Very handsome. No wonder you're a new baron from the Empire. Come, sit here."
"These two must be your ladies, right? Let me introduce, I'm the Lord of Ironforge, Raymond Acheson. This is my daughter, Anastasia Acheson."
"Margarethe Harrow, Grace Harrow."
They introduced their names to the Lord. Since they married Lucian, they also used his last name.
After the introductions, the group sat down in the banquet hall.
"This is a family dinner, also a welcome for Lord Lucian to join Ironforge. Don't be nervous, just treat this like your own home. By the way, do you like the food in Ironforge?"
It's hard to hit someone with a smile. Seeing the Lord was so friendly, Lucian smiled and said softly, "Of course. I've always liked the food in Ironforge. Raymond, since you're a bit older than me, just call me by my name."
Raymond laughed heartily, "So polite and humble, not arrogant at all. No wonder you got the baron title at such a young age. I'll be a bit bold, Lucian. I hope you can feel at home in Ironforge."
"If you need anything, just come to me."
Lucian nodded, "Thank you, Raymond Lord."
"Calling me Lord is too formal. Since I called you by your name, and I'm a bit older, you can just call me Raymond."
"If anything happens in the city, just come to me. I'll definitely help you solve it."
Raymond clapped his chest, looking like a true hero.
Lucian saw this and just smiled slightly, raising his glass to clink with Lord Raymond.
This kind of enthusiastic lord was something Lucian had never seen before in the Aerilane continent. Was it just because he was a baron? Lucian didn't think so.
The lord's title was way higher than a little baron. Raymond's hospitality must have had something to do with his own needs.
After realizing this, Lucian didn't rush. He just kept drinking with the lord, raising his glass again and again. The family dinner lasted a long time, until late at night.
After everyone had a good time, Raymond finally used the excuse of being drunk to grab Lucian's hand.
"Lucian, there's something I don't know if I should say."
He was red-faced, acting like he was really drunk, talking as if he was just drunk.
From the smell on his body, Lucian knew that Lord Raymond was also an extraordinary person, a Warrior class. Though his rank wasn't as high as Lucian's, he was still an extraordinary. Why would he get so drunk from just some low-alcohol drinks?
There had to be something on his mind, and he wanted to say it in a way that gave them both a little face.
Lucian saw through it but didn't say anything. He just asked curiously, "Raymond, what happened?"
Raymond pulled his daughter Anastasia, who had been eating quietly, in front of Lucian. He said, "This is my daughter. A while ago, I had someone test her. She has an extraordinary talent. Do you know what kind of talent?"
"Mage?"
"Yes, Mage talent."
Raymond sighed.
Lucian finally had time to look at Anastasia. She wasn't very old, probably just turned adult. She was wearing a blue court dress. When she saw Lucian looking at her, she didn't show fear at all. She stared at him with her deep blue eyes, looking him up and down.
"Then you're asking me to find a Mage teacher for your daughter?"
Lucian guessed what Raymond was thinking.
Mage was one of the rarest and most expensive classes in the Aerilane continent. It was far beyond what a lord from a border city like Ironforge could afford.
Not to mention, Mages passed down their knowledge through generations. Finding a good Mage teacher was much harder than with other extraordinary classes.
Mages needed more than just talent. So there were very few Mages in the outside world. Many senior Mages preferred to study alone, and some people might never meet a Mage in their lifetime.
It was a miracle that Raymond, who had no Mage talent himself, had a daughter with Mage talent.
But this wasn't exactly a good thing.
"I heard that you have some elves under your command. I wonder if any of them are Mage teachers."
