Chapter 15 - Chapter 15: Mage Talent, Lucian's Proposal!

At this point, the meaning has already been clear without needing to say it out loud.

Raymond was just trying to see if there was a Mage in Lucian's group who could teach Anastasia, so it wouldn't be a waste of Anastasia's talent.

Lucian thought for a while, then looked back at Anastasia.

To be honest, Anastasia was from a noble family, and she had always lived a good life, so her already smooth and delicate skin looked soft and shiny like jade. Her long golden hair reached her waist, and with those big, expressive blue eyes, she really did look a little like a clever and magical Mage.

This face was extremely perfect.

Even though she wasn't fully grown yet, her eyes still had a childish look, but you could still tell she would be a beautiful girl in the future.

No need to say anything else, just the fact that the Gift of the Breeder recognized Anastasia and thought she could have children was enough to show how beautiful her looks were.

"There is a Mage in my group," Lucian said with a smile.

Raymond finally relaxed and looked happy.

But Lucian changed his tone: "But the way an elf Mage and a human Mage study is completely different. The Mage in my group can only help Anastasia get started, and the rest will have to be up to her."

This wasn't just making an excuse. It was actually true. Because of the way elves were built, they used only elven magic, which was like dragon language magic.

It was limited to their race and couldn't be learned just by working hard.

If Lucian had gotten some elven traits through the Gift of the Breeder, maybe there would be a chance. But for others, there was absolutely no way.

Raymond knew this well. He sighed and said, "If you don't mind, please teach my daughter how to start. She's always said she wants to be a Mage, and even refused to get married. I've set up a lot of marriage arrangements for her, all of which ended up failing because of this."

At this point, the father sighed and looked really sad.

A regular girl of this age would have already been married, but Anastasia was different.

She hadn't gotten married and was actually very mischievous.

She had ruined many of her matches herself. Raymond was worried, but he had no idea what to do. If he hadn't heard that Lucian had a group of Elves, maybe with a Mage, he might have been worried for a long time.

"Then." Lucian said, his eyes suddenly lighting up, "what do you think of me, Lord Raymond?"

"What?" Raymond didn't understand at first when Lucian changed his title, but he quickly realized what Lucian meant.

"Can I understand that Lucian Harrow, the viscount, is proposing to me?"

When it came to his own family's "vegetable." Raymond's face immediately turned serious. His earlier drunk look vanished completely, and he even started calling Lucian by his full name.

"Of course." Lucian said calmly.

Meeting a woman who was approved by the Gift of the Breeder, plus Raymond the city lord was already looking for a husband for Anastasia, this was a chance he couldn't miss.

Raymond the city lord fell into thought.

He looked at Lucian up and down while thinking quietly.

He knew Lucian pretty well. After all, this was the new viscount who was about to live in his Ironforge for a long time, and he had killed the previous Brown family's lord, Michael.

As a city lord, Raymond naturally had to check out exactly what kind of person this was.

Otherwise, if a bad person entered his city, he would feel some headaches.

After the investigation, he found something confusing. This Lucian had once formed a small adventurer group, but it was said that the group had broken apart during a battle with a monster, and The Knight's Soul had been destroyed.

But later, whether it was killing Michael or cutting down Tom from the Martin family with one sword, it clearly showed that Lucian's The Knight's Soul was completely intact.

The rumor that The Knight's Soul was broken was very suspicious. Either Lucian was still healthy and active after fighting the monster, or he had somehow obtained something that could repair The Knight's Soul. Either way, it showed that Lucian was no ordinary person.

And saving elf slaves, then openly marrying an elf wife just to give her a name-by that alone, Raymond knew Lucian was a man of loyalty. At least in his place, Raymond would never do that.

His character, ability, and strength were all good. Plus, Lucian was handsome. Although he was a bit older, the lifespan of the superiors was long, way beyond the time sense of normal humans.

Lucian was in his prime, still active.

So, in that way, Lucian looked like a great husband.

While thinking, Raymond turned his eyes to Anastasia beside him. When she heard Lucian's proposal, Anastasia didn't look scared at all. Instead, she looked at Lucian with curiosity.

"This is my daughter's lifelong matter, I need to think more about it." Raymond's voice softened. "How about this, I'll have my daughter visit the Harrow family's base tomorrow. We can talk about this later, okay?"

Lucian nodded.

He wasn't in a hurry. If Raymond had agreed immediately, that would have been strange.

The feast ended peacefully with everyone getting along well.

The next day.

It was still dark outside when a servant came in to report that a beautiful girl was at the gate, claiming to be the city lord's daughter.

Lucian immediately knew it was Anastasia. Though he was a bit confused, he sent someone to open the door right away and had her brought in.

"Lucian Harrow." Anastasia walked in confidently, grabbed a chair, and sat down in front of Lucian, looking at him with curiosity.

"What do you think of me?"

Lucian asked with curiosity.

"I know you're part of the knight training camp, and you were in a small adventurer group called the Imperial Bloom." Anastasia said with admiration. "Tell me about your adventures with the guys?"

Lucian had a slightly nostalgic look on his face. That was the adventurer group he had formed when he first came to this world, and it was because of a monster that seemed almost unbeatable that he realized the truth and decided to retire.

"The Imperial Bloom isn't a good name." Lucian shrugged. "You know, the girl was so pretty that she had a lot of suitors chasing her. That made me have to fight all those guys every day."

At this, Lucian had a mix of nostalgia and annoyance on his face: "She wasn't a good person at all. You know, that woman once said that if you wanted to talk to her, you had to beat me in a duel first."

"WOW!"

Anastasia's face was full of curiosity. According to the rumors, that Imperial Bloom was the strongest swordswoman in the empire.

But she didn't get the name because of her strength. The name was because of her beautiful face that drove everyone crazy, and her perfect body. She was almost every young man's dream girl in the empire.

Perfect, strong, and steady-those were the words people used to describe the Imperial Bloom. But from Lucian's mouth, Anastasia heard a completely different version of her.

The two talked for a long time. When Lucian got a bit bored, he stood up and said, "All right, we can talk about the rest later."

"NO, I haven't heard enough yet!"

Anastasia shook Lucian's arm and begged with a sad face.

Lucian's cold heart didn't change at all: "Your father sent you here to learn magic, right? Well, I'll take you there now."

When she heard the real reason, Anastasia suddenly became serious and said,

"Yep, my dad sent me here with a payment, and there's another thing."

Anastasia looked into Lucian's eyes: "He said, if you want to marry my daughter, you have to help protect that trade route this coming summer."
