Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Reincarnated into a Cat!

"No, no, so you mean to tell me…

Little me, just a random reader who happened to love cats and reading novels, actually reincarnated?!

On top of that, it's the novel I just dropped????????"

Nye looked at himself in the mirror with an exasperated expression, but his cat face just made him look cute.

If he had a phone, he'd instantly take a picture and post it online, bragging about having such a cute black cat!

But now… he was the cat!

He looked around once more.

A large room in renaissance style, with tall ceilings and various decorations. The bed was huge and had a princess style design.

He was currently on a table with a large golden mirror in front of him and jewellery as well as other things placed on the side, as if ready to be taken out.

And the most striking feature was another thing – the young lady laying in the bed.

Her cheeks were soft, her eyes closed calmly as if there was no worry in the world. Her hair was a beautiful platinum colour, like the moon in the sky that had left the night sky just an hour ago.

And then there was him – a little cat sitting on a make-up table, tail in front of him, occasionally rubbing his nose and making him sneeze. His paws stretched out and in, like a human looking at his hand.

He still didn't believe it and turned around, but no matter how, he couldn't stop it!

"No, this can't be. If I'm a little cat, in this room, with such a beautiful young lady who's showing signs of extreme beauty…

Not to mention the other matter..!"

Though his sounds were weird, he understood his own language, which confused him. Because he was very sure this was cat language!

Not the baby language "miaow" but the real cat language!

But what he meant wasn't this.

Instead, it was the swirling book in his mind.

This book was made of silver-blue, like the moon, resembling the little lady's hair.

But unlike the lady, this book had real features of the moon.

The cover was a rising moon in the sky and glittering stars lighting the night sky.

And when he entered his thoughts into the book, it turned.

Pages seemed to flip in his mind, but in fact, he only skipped the first three pages, which were: Front Page, Title Page and the table of content.

The front page was empty, the title page only had the name of the book: [Lunar Radiance Grimoire] and lastly, the table of content only had the first chapter down, even though there was only one page he could see: [Introduction into Witchcraft].

He remembered the name of this Grimoire very well, as well as the lady, and the room!

This was none other than Princess Isabel of the Silver Moon Kingdom!

In the book, she was extremely famous, for no other reason than that she was the first wife of the protagonist!

She was extremely talented, had a wealth of knowledge and was a key figure for the protagonist to advance from the south-eastern corner of the Grigore Continent to the Empire!

And… he still knew that although she wasn't a witch, she somehow had a Grimoire, which later on became the inheritance for the protagonists second wife, which helped him move to another continent to escape the Grigore Continent!

Right there Nye dropped the novel, because he couldn't accept this behaviour of using your wife and then not staying loyal! Worse, Isabel was left to deal with the trouble, probably only to be picked up later after suffering many things.

How could he accept this?

He wrote an extremely ugly review and was just about to send it, when suddenly, he died from staying up for over 72 hours, having skipped sleep while caring for his cats, being scolded at work, gaming in the evening and reading at night.

When he thought of this, Nye was furious and wanted to say something, but he quickly calmed down.

"No, no, it's fine! Why am I mad!

Haha, aren't I, the great… Nye, now in this world!

Don't let me see your ugly tail you little rat! Hah, a protagonist? Just someone who knows to eat at other people's places but not how to pay back!"

He laughed out lowed, his voice turning into miaow's. He still remembered that this was the baby language of cats, and now it seemed he was rather young. When he lost his shocked spirit and calmed down, it seemed that his voice calmed down once more and became softer.

Just then, he suddenly felt a hand raising him.

Surprised, he looked over, only to see the little girl that was sleeping just now to hold him in front of her face, looking at him with a curious look.

Nye also saw her slightly sweaty face and the hair clinging to her forehead, as well as the exhaustion in her eyes.

He miaowed once more, his paws touching her face.

"Oh Nye, you little thing, why did you leave me when I went to sleep?" the girl asked with a soft voice.

"Miaow!" Nye pointed at the mirror.

"Haha, did you look at yourself in the mirror? Oh my, little prince, you like your looks more than me!" she chuckled, her expression easing.

Nye patted on her forehead once more and pulled her sleeve with his mouth towards the bed.

Isabel smiled and went to the bed, but didn't lay down. Instead, she sat and patted the cat.

"Oh Nye, this nightmare seems to never end. How can I rest if my sleep is full of nightmares?"

Nye patted her face once more and made purring sounds, trying to calm her.

The young lady, although strong, was very exhausted.

This movement seemed to calm her down, making her fall back to the bed, sleeping on a corner.

Nye, looking at this, sighed 'Alas, I can act like a cat very well, can't I? In the end, caring for cats for so long, it would be a surprise if I couldn't…

Though my little Isabel, alas!

You are actually very gifted, it's just that because of your gifts, you are haunted too!"

He knew Isabel very well from the book.

This world was one of Knights, Wizards, Priests, and so on. There were various paths spread across the world.

In the Grigore Continent, Magic is the most revered path. Wizards who could cast spells were instantly granted nobility.

And a kingdom like the Silver Moon is specialised in Moon-Element Magic!

But Isabel wasn't strong in moon magic, nor magic at all! Instead, she was a talent of a niche-path:

Astrology!

A path derived from prophecy and magic.

It revolves around the stars, moons and plants.

From the two parent paths, it's able to read fate and cast spells.

It's the ancestral path from which various paths, like lunar magic, was born.

And the Grimoire he held in his mind was the ancestral Grimoire of the Lunar Wizard!

The only issue is, although they sound similar, they are vastly different.

Astrologers do not use the moon as a direct way to use magic most of the time. Rather, they use star power. So the Grimoire in her hand was really not that effective.

The only advantage is that Lunar Magic can be enhanced by her power.

Unfortunately, because her talent for Astrology was immense and she couldn't learn it, instead, it became a burden.

Because of her talent, there is a semi-constructed Star Map in her mind.

Star Maps are inherently connected to fate and are extremely chaotic.

Without proper guidance, rather than helping her see fate, it actually attract misfortune.

These nightmares are simply dream demons who were attracted to her.

Although she was able to remove them once she went to the empire, she only learned of her talent later on, wasting a lot of time.
