Keifer's POV:
I was really happy that she agreed to support me at the tryouts and I knew she had her doubts but still she agreed to come for me and I take it as a small win and after that I went my dorm and texted her details and she replied me with, "All the best for the trial tomorrow and good night"
I smiled at her message and went to sleep.
I woke up in the morning and freshened up and went to the university basketball court and started practicing with the boys, since we had the tryout we did not have the classes for today and soon we went to relax a bit before the trial started
After a few minutes everyone started coming in for the trials and I saw Sara and Mica come together to support David and Calix and I looked at door expectingly for Jay to walk in but she did not.
I thought she might be running late and soon the game started but there was no sign of her , I started playing but my focus wasn't fully on the game and I felt bad for letting down my teammates and they gave a mid break during the game and I decided to play well and win this match with my friends.
The game started again and I tried to give my full focus and it was going well and the game and it came to the point where I have to earn goal so we can win otherwise the other team wins, so the opposite team passed the ball to me and the pressure was building on me and that's when I heard someone chanting my name "Go, Keif" and I recognised who it was and turned to see
Jay.
Jumping and cheering for me, I was genuinely happy seeing the sight of her and I turned give my full focus and finally tossed the ball and it fell in hoop and we won!!!!!!
My teammates were shouting and jumping and they came closer and carried me, and we were enjoying the victory, that's when I saw Jay looking at me and smiling and feeling proud.
I got down and went to her with a smile,She started by saying," Congratulations Great game, I am sorry I was late"
I cut her off by saying," Thanks, All that matters is you are here now and you were present to see me win. And As a thank you, I would like you treat you a dinner for my victory."
She smiled and said " I would like to accept and the dessert on me though"
I said, " Okayy, at 7?"
She nodded and we left to our room
Jay's POV
I woke up in a great mood today which rarely happens, because I hate to wake up, but today it was ( probably because it was the tryouts and Keif invited me to support him)
Normally if any guys approach me, I would normally distance myself from them, but with I feel different, I know I have to keep my distance but I am not able to something is pulling me towards him.
I get ready ready quickly and got to my class with Sara and Mica and we attend the lectures and we plan to go to the game but that's when I remember I have a work in the library, so ask them to go without me.
I reach the library and see a couple fighting and abusing each other with words, and I quickly start to remember my parents fight and my breath becomes heavy and it becomes difficult to breathe, I quickly rush to the restroom and tears start pouring in my eyes and I am unable to breathe and I splash some water in my face and try to calm myself down .
I sit on my knees next to the wall trying to breathe and take my phone to call someone and I don't know who to call but that's when I noticed a voice note from Kiefer and I don't why my hands automatically plays them, and it says, " Good morning, Thanks for accepting my invite to attend the game and I still believe you will be a lucky charm for me "
After hearing his something soothes in me and my breathing tries to become normal, and I play it again for 3 times and finally I fully calm down, I stand up and look at the time to realise the game will be half way done, I quickly wash my face once again and leave to the game.
I reach almost at the end of the game to realise that, it was the last deciding goal and it was in the hands of Kiefer and I believed he would win and I cheered for him.
Also seeing him smile at me , made me feel something that I have never felt peace, and he made the winning goal.
After that, he said he wanted to give me a treat, normally I would have declined but today I didn't know what happened, I wanted to be with him, so I agreed also extended the plan with dessert.
I was looking forward to spending some time with him, which is weird because I am the one who is usually running away.
PS: We have learnt about Jay's panic attack, how do you think Keif will react once he gets to know about it ?
