Chapter 6 - Ask Your Parents What Happened Then

Chapter 6

Star High College

Yeah, like seriously, you are cool," Zinnia added.

The three new friends were chatting when their lecturer came into the class to teach, so they had to suspend their conversation.

After the lecturer left, more lecturers came to teach them till the bell rang. Everyone left the lecture hall exhausted, including Hazel and her two new friends.

On their way to the cafeteria, one of Kensey's friends, Kilian, blocked their way. "Hey Kitten, follow me," Killian said to Zinnia, ignoring both Hazel and Emory.

"Okay," Zinnia replied, aiding towards Killian.

"Hey, where are you taking her?" Hazel asked.

"How is that your business?" Killian replied.

"It's my business 'cause she's my friend," Hazel said.

"Hey, mind your business and stay away from mine," Killian said angrily as he grabbed Zinnia's arm, leaving both Hazel and Emory standing there.

"Hey, what's going on between them?" Hazel asked Emory.

"I promise I don't know. Zinnia's been acting weird lately. Either he comes to take her or she gets the text on her phone," Emory replied.

"And when did they start...?" Hazel asked like a detective.

"Like two weeks ago," Emory replied.

"And when did she start schooling here?" Hazel asked.

"Two weeks ago," Emory replied.

"I'm pretty sure those three boys bully the poor ," Hazel asked.

"Yes, sometimes," Emory replied.

"But it told stormy, who bullies Zinnia... not anymore. Kilian actually told her to stop bullying Zinnia," Emory added.....

Killian's penthouse

The three boys actually have their own penthouse and the school, due to their family status. Killian actually took Zinnia to this place.

"What do you want from me now?" Zinnia asked angrily.

"You know it's because of stormy and her minions are no longer bullying you. If you don't want them to continue bullying you, you'll have to do whatever I ask you to do," Killian said.

"I know that. And what should I do so you'd stop bothering me? I hate it. I hate seeing your face. It's irritating," Zinnia snapped.

"There's nothing you can't do, kidding," Killian replied.

"Why did you call me to this place now?" Zinnia asked, frustratedly.

"I called you here to tell you I want coffee. So go get it for me," Killian asked.

"Can't you go get it from the cafeteria yourself?" Zinnia asked....

Cafeteria

Hazel and Emory sat in the cafeteria, eating when Emory said, "I'm going to use the restroom, leaving Hazel alone."

As Emory left, Hazel continued eating, scrolling through her phone.....

School Hallway

After Emory was done in the restroom, she headed towards the cafeteria to meet Hazel. But on her way, she bumped into someone. She raised her head to see that the person was... Levi.

"Hey, don't you see where you're going? Your beautiful face made me blind, darling," Levi replied with a smirk.

"You are sick," Emory replied, leaving.

"I'm sick for only you," Levi said, blocking her way.

"Your words don't filter me. Check. Why don't you go and meet the person you truly love and live my way," Emory snapped.

"You are the only love of my life," Levi replied, smirking.

"Did you forget what you said in the past? I am a gold digger, remember?" Emory said.

"I would forget the past if you beg now," Levi replied.

Flashback five years ago

Emory was skipping towards Levi's penthouse, but upon getting there, she met a big shock of her life. Levi, her boyfriend, was kissing a girl – the school bully, Sasha.

"Amor!" she screamed.

"What?" Levi replied, unbothered.

"What? You have the guts to tell me what?" Emory replied angrily.

"Yeah, what? And didn't you see the message I sent you some minutes ago?" Levi replied.

Emory immediately bought out her phone to check the message. "We are done" was written in the chat, with a video of Emory collecting money from Levi's mother.

"No, no, Amor. I promise it's not what you think. That's not what really happened," Emory said, tears falling from her eyes.

"Then tell me what really happened. I'm sure you're gonna tell me some lies, and I'm not ready to listen to your lies," Levi said.

"You know, Mom used to tell me that you low-lives aren't good, but I told her you aren't one of them. But she proved me wrong by showing me the video... and then I realized she was right," Levi snapped.

"No, Amor, let me explain. Let me tell you what really happened. You can't just believe a video. I know you know... what? I'm not gonna beg you 'cause I realized you never truly loved me. If you did, you'd have trusted me and not a video," Emory replied, cleaning the tears on her face.

"Just leave, since you've collected the money. Aren't you supposed to leave me?" Levi said.

"I promise you won't let you. By the time you realize you've made a big mistake, I will never forgive you," Emory said, leaving the penthouse.

When she left, Levy sent Sasha away immediately. "Leave," Levi said.

"So, you were just using me?" Sasha said.

"I said leave," Levi snapped.

"Okay, then. Bye," Sasha replied, leaving the penthouse.

After sasha left Levi's words echoed in the empty penthous, "Why, why do you have to do this to me? Why did you collect the money? I thought you loved me... When you need money, why didn't you ask? Why must you do this to me?"

He slumped to the ground, tears streaming down his face.

After Emory left Levi's penthouse, she called her driver immediately to come pick her up. As soon as she got home, she went straight to her room and locked herself in. Slumping to the ground, she said, crying, "Why didn't you trust me, am I? Why? I thought you loved me... Why didn't you trust me? Why? I kept the low profile for my safety because my parents have too many enemies and they want to harm them by harming me... But no, you are too stubborn to listen.

Emory cried really hard. After what happened, she didn't go to school for a week. When she went back, it wasn't as a poor girl, but as a rich girl.
