Chapter 18 - Chapter 18 The first batch of Pokémon joins the territory!

Draconis led two farmers to search for suitable land around the territory for cultivation.

Alfred, on the other hand, was given the urgent task of playing with these three "magical beasts."

As Draconis left, the three Snovers looked up at him with longing.

Alfred thought of His Highness Draconis's demeanor, and with a stiff upper lip, he greeted them, "You… you're called Snover, right?"

"Moo-goo~!" The Snovers happily nodded their heads.

The magical beasts actually responded to him! Even though he had seen His Highness Draconis interact with them beforehand, when it was his turn, the Old Butler's heart was still in turmoil.

One of the Snovers looked up at this human, then picked a Berry from its body and handed it over.

"Moo-goo!"

"Human, do you want to try the Berry too?"

The… the magical beast even shared a Berry with him!

While the Old Butler was inwardly astonished, an unprecedented feeling also surged within him.

"Thank you," he said, still feeling some resistance deep down. So, with a stiff upper lip, he politely declined, "It's just that this old man isn't hungry yet."

The Snovers didn't mind; they looked around with curiosity, observing everything in their surroundings.

Everything here was something they had never seen before!

The Commoners around witnessed everything, but even so, they only dared to watch from afar, not daring to approach.

Seeing this, Alfred, following His Highness Draconis's instructions, said to the crowd:

"Everyone, there's no need to fear these three magical beasts. They are different from other magical beasts; they won't attack us. The reason they trespassed into our territory today is because His Highness Draconis gave them a few almonds outside yesterday, so they came to let His Highness Draconis also taste the Berries that grow on them!"

Everyone was slightly stunned by these words.

The adults hesitated, not daring to approach, as they had all personally witnessed magical beasts harming people.

But the children were full of curiosity about the three magical beasts.

They had just seen those three magical beasts share Berries with His Highness!

So, after the adults left, three children, aged around six or seven, couldn't contain their curiosity.

Initially, they only dared to watch from a distance.

But soon, one boy bravely walked forward.

The Snovers immediately looked over.

The boy's heart pounded; the magical beasts were looking at him!

What to do, what to do? He wouldn't be attacked, would he?

When people panic, problems often arise.

The boy accidentally tripped over a stone on the ground and fell.

"Ah!" It hurt so much!

Suddenly, someone walked over and helped him up.

When the boy looked up, he saw the Snover's pale white face.

"Moo-goo~" The Snover let out a friendly Growl.

The boy was momentarily stunned.

The… the magical beast helped him up!

The boy stood there dumbfounded, watching the three magical beasts, not daring to move.

And the Snovers also curiously observed him.

After a long while, the boy finally couldn't help but bravely ask:

"You… you really won't hurt me?"

Hearing this, the Snovers looked puzzled.

"Moo-goo?" Why would they hurt humans?

One of the Snovers, seeing the boy was injured, even picked a Berry from its body and gave it to him.

The boy took a bite, and his eyes immediately lit up: "So, so delicious!"

At this moment, he no longer felt any fear towards these three magical beasts; instead, he happily pulled them to play together.

So, when Draconis returned from outside, this is the scene he witnessed:

Several children surrounded the three Snovers, happily playing with them, and two bold children even climbed onto the Snovers' bodies.

The Snovers, with happy faces, carried them on their shoulders.

Draconis heard one child say:

"Snovers, the Berries on you are really, really delicious!"

Hearing this compliment, the Snovers immediately wanted to pick a Berry from their bodies to share with him.

But they found that all the Berries on them had already been shared.

"Moo-goo…"

This made the Snovers a little sad.

However, they quickly recovered.

Because by tomorrow, their Berries would have grown back!

Seeing this, Draconis couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief.

Indeed, this was a good start.

"Your Highness Draconis, how did it go?" Business was important, so upon seeing Draconis return, Alfred immediately stepped forward and asked.

Draconis nodded and said, "I've found suitable land for cultivation."

That piece of land was located on the west side of the territory, near the riverbank. After investigation by the two experienced old farmers, they found the land to be very fertile, perfect for farming.

"They will go to clear that land this afternoon," Draconis said. "We must sow the seeds as soon as possible."

"Yes, Your Highness."

As noon approached, wisps of cooking smoke rose above the territory.

People had prepared lunch.

Fragrant oatmeal porridge, grilled fish seasoned with a little salt and roasted over fire until golden brown and crispy, paired with somewhat hard black bread, and a few cups of barley beer—this was the lunch for most Commoners.

As a prince, Draconis's lunch was much more lavish.

Soft white bread, ham with a pine smoke flavor and a slight sweetness, rich wine with the fragrant aroma of grapes, and delicious fish soup boiled until milky white.

The maids successively brought these foods into the tent.

The children who were playing with the Snovers were also called back by their respective parents.

The children wanted to invite the Snovers to eat with them, but they were stopped by the adults, who were still a little uneasy.

"Moo-goo…"

Those people seemed not to like them much… The three Snovers belatedly sensed the people's rejection of them, and they immediately turned around, feeling dejected, preparing to silently leave this place.

Draconis witnessed this scene, and seeing the Snovers about to leave, he called out:

"Hey, Snovers!"

The Snovers turned back and saw Draconis standing not far away.

Draconis was back! Their eyes immediately lit up.

"Do you want to come over and have lunch together?" Draconis invited with a smile.

"Moo-goo!"

Hearing this, the Snovers immediately rushed over.

They were invited by Draconis into the tent and sat at the dining table to eat together.

Draconis sat with Dratini on the other side.

Different Pokémon have different dietary habits.

Among the abundant food on the table, Dratini ate almost only fish.

After looking around, the Snovers finally chose white bread, almonds, and figs—foods they were interested in—for their lunch.

"Try it!" Draconis said.

The Snover picked up the white bread and took a bite, and its eyes immediately glowed with an unusual light.

"Moo-goo!"

So delicious!

Draconis patiently waited for them to finish eating, then spoke:

"By the way, Snovers, would you like to join my territory and live with us? That way, we can always play together."

In fact, as Grass and Ice-type Pokémon, Snovers don't have large appetites.

They live on vast snow-capped mountains and can survive by Synthesis and eating snow on a daily basis.

This was also the reason Draconis decided to invite them to join the territory and live together.

If it were a Pokémon like Munchlax, he would have unhesitatingly refused their inclusion.

Hearing Draconis's words, the Snovers blinked.

Although they didn't understand what "territory" meant, as soon as they heard they could play with Draconis, they immediately agreed.

"Moo-goo!"

And at the same time, Draconis also received a notification.

His number of subjects increased from 79 to 82.

This was immediately followed by a continuous increase in satisfaction.

+50!

+50!

+50!

In the blink of an eye, satisfaction reached 300.

Draconis was slightly stunned, somewhat shocked by the speed of this satisfaction increase.

But looking at the three Snovers in front of him, he quickly reacted.

Unlike other humans, the Snovers' needs were very simple.

They were gentle in nature and inherently innocent; as long as someone was willing to play with them, they would be happy.

"They really are simple and pure Pokémon!" Draconis couldn't help but mutter to himself.

However, his heart was relieved, as if a great burden had been lifted.

Whether it was helping to care for crops with Grass-type energy or producing those edible and filling Berries.

With the addition of the Snovers, the territory would be able to alleviate a great deal of pressure.

Of course, in return, Draconis would do his best to meet the Snovers' needs.

Whether it was providing special food or play services.
