Amidst Bullseye's agonized screams, Peter drove his battle suit across the warehouse floor to the unconscious George Stacy. With a powerful, controlled pull, he tore apart the chair holding the Director, freeing him from his bonds.
However, George Stacy remained limp. His head hung low, and his breathing was becoming shallow and weak. It was unclear if his condition was a result of the brutal beating he had received from Bullseye or if he had been injured by the sheer force of giant god soldier no. 1's explosive entrance.
If it was the latter, Peter knew things could get complicated. Fortunately, he had come prepared. He reached into a supply compartment on his suit and pulled out a bottle filled with a vibrant red liquid. Without a word, he uncorked it and poured the contents into George Stacy's mouth.
This was the [Small Life Potion] that Peter had previously exchanged for in the system.
The effect was almost instantaneous. As the liquid went down, George Stacy's color began to return. The jagged, lacerated wounds on his face started to knit together and heal at a visible rate. His breathing stabilized, and a few seconds later, his eyes fluttered open.
Seeing a cold metal mask inches from his face, George Stacy jumped in surprise. "Iron Man? No... you're Batman!"
"Director Stacy, it's good that you're awake," Peter's synthesized voice rumbled. "Find a place to hide. There's still a battle waiting for me!"
Peter released him and rushed toward the other side of the warehouse. Only then did George Stacy realize the full scale of what was happening. Bullseye—the man who had just beaten him half to death—was now being held aloft by a five-meter-tall metal giant, screaming in pain as blood poured down his blinded face.
Spider-Woman vs. The Super Ninja
Meanwhile, Elektra's battle with Gwen had already begun.
The super ninja had sensed the shift in the battle immediately. She had barely finished her defensive roll when she heard a tearing whoosh of wind near her ear. Out of the darkness, Spider-Woman launched an incredibly fierce flying kick.
This was a propelled flying kick taught to Gwen by Middle-aged Peter Parker. It used the elasticity of spider silk to boost the power and speed of the strike to its absolute limit. Had it connected, it would have been enough to shatter several of Elektra's ribs.
But Elektra's skills were terrifyingly sharp. Using only the sound of the wind to track the movement, she twisted her body mid-air. Two steel sai appeared in her hands instantly, crossing them in front of her to block the impact.
Bang!
The heavy thud echoed through the warehouse as the two bounced off each other. Elektra landed gracefully on her feet, while Gwen retracted a line and hung from the ceiling, staring down her opponent.
Elektra looked at Gwen, then at the metal giant standing in the dust nearby. Her eyes filled with uncontrollable shock. "It's you two? You came so fast. Did someone help you?"
Gwen let out a cold, sharp laugh. "Do we need help to deal with you? It seems you were a bit too overconfident."
Elektra didn't waste time on words. With a flick of her wrists, she threw several spherical objects that looked like grenades. Gwen instinctively dodged, but instead of an explosion, a thick wall of white smoke filled the room.
Smoke bombs.
Elektra had already donned a red mask and was completely unaffected by the fog. Hearing Bullseye's screams, she had already decided to retreat. She blurred through the smoke, speeding toward the back door of the warehouse.
However, just as she reached the exit, she slammed into a massive, nearly invisible web. The webbing possessed a terrifying stickiness, leaving her pinned like prey. Gwen had prepared for this, setting up webs on every door and window before the fight even started.
As Elektra struggled to free herself, a cold metal fist emerged from the smoke.
Bang!
The blow struck her forehead with clinical precision. Blood stained her face as her world went black.
The Aftermath
By the time the smoke cleared, Peter had returned to the center of the warehouse, dragging the unconscious Elektra by the arm.
Thump! Thump!
He threw both Elektra and the blinded Bullseye at George Stacy's feet. The Director rubbed his eyes, unable to process the sight.
"You... you actually caught Bullseye and Elektra?"
Stacy had been investigating Kingpin for a long time; he knew these were the King's two strongest shadows. To see them taken down so easily by two heroes who had only recently debuted was an achievement that would make even veteran Superheroes blush.
"Spider-Woman, take Director Stacy to the hospital," Peter commanded. "Take Bullseye with you, but the woman stays. I have a use for her."
Gwen nodded. She quickly shot out a web to pull George Stacy along and bundled Bullseye into a tight 'zongzi' of webbing. With a powerful leap, she soared into the night, swinging away toward the city.
Before they disappeared, George Stacy managed to shout one final piece of information: "The mastermind is Kingpin! He cannot be let go!"
Peter watched them leave, showing no surprise. He already knew. In New York, only one man had the power to command both the marksman and the ninja.
Peter walked to a dark corner of the warehouse where a mobile phone had been set up on a tripod. Kingpin had intended to watch the "rookies" die. Now, the screen was black; Kingpin had cut the feed the moment the tide turned.
"Sure enough," Peter said, crushing the phone into scrap metal. "No matter the universe, Kingpin is a cancer that must be eradicated."
He looked down at Elektra's blood-streaked face. If he wanted to find the King, he now had the perfect guide.
