The transfer took place on the fourth day.
Without spectacle.
Without unnecessary explanations.
At dawn, the students were gathered and led beyond the main perimeter of Valencrest, through an internal transport line no one had ever used before.
The landscape changed slowly.
School facilities gave way to lower, more enclosed buildings, arranged like a small independent district.
Isolated halls.
Identical buildings.
Windowless libraries.
And at the center, a series of sealed rooms.
Kael observed everything in silence.
This isn't a school, he thought.
It's a social laboratory.
THE NEW RULES
Once inside the complex, each student received an update on their bracelet.
The text was clear. Too clear.
RELATIONAL EVALUATION EXAM – CYCLE 1
Groups of 10 students
All first-year students
Each group will consist of:
➤ 7 Observers
➤ 3 Disruptors
Kael slightly raised his gaze.
Nice name, he thought.
Honest.
Total exam duration: 7 days
Days 1–3:
➤ 3 hours per day locked in the same room
➤ Free communication
➤ No physical trials
Days 4–7:
➤ Individual analysis
➤ Preparation for the final vote
Day 7: Voting
➤ Each participant votes for one person
➤ Whoever receives the majority is removed from the group
➤ Removal occurs regardless of the person's actual role
Kael smiled faintly.
THE POINT SYSTEM
The bracelet continued.
DAILY INITIAL SCORES:
➤ 1000 points for each Observer
PENALTIES:
If an Observer is incorrectly removed:
➤ –100 points to all Observers
REWARDS:
For each Observer removed during the final vote:
➤ +200 points to the Disruptors
Kael felt a sharp flicker of genuine amusement.
They don't want the truth,
they want to see who lies best.
GROUP ASSIGNMENT
The doors closed one after another.
Kael entered the room assigned to his group.
Ten chairs.
Ten unfamiliar faces.
No information.
No visible clues.
Just people.
And fear.
One student spoke immediately.
"Okay, we need to stay calm. If we think together—"
Kael sat down slowly.
Interlaced his fingers.
Observed.
Too fast, he thought.
Those who rush to organize… fear silence.
KAEL, THE DISRUPTOR
Kael already knew.
The bracelet had confirmed it before he entered.
ASSIGNED ROLE: DISRUPTOR
No obligation to lie.
No obligation to act immediately.
Just one possibility.
I can destroy them, he thought.
Or I can let them destroy themselves.
The second option was far more entertaining.
HIS APPROACH (50%)
Kael did not take control.
He did not openly manipulate.
He did something subtler.
He listened.
When someone spoke too much, Kael nodded.
When someone stayed silent, Kael gave them space.
When suspicion arose, Kael didn't reinforce it… he redirected it.
"Interesting what you said earlier," he said at one point, in a neutral tone.
"Could you repeat it?"
The boy blushed.
Stammered.
Another student frowned.
The seed had been planted.
KAEL'S PSYCHOLOGY
Sitting there, Kael felt something familiar.
Not tension.
Not fear.
Control.
People want to be understood, he thought.
And they fear being misunderstood more than being judged.
That side of him—the one he had kept hidden for years—was waking up.
The one that used emotions as levers.
Not out of cruelty.
Out of necessity.
END OF THE FIRST DAY
The three hours passed slowly.
When the room opened, no one was more relaxed than before.
If anything,
they were truly watching each other now.
Kael's bracelet vibrated.
No points gained.
No points lost.
Perfect.
Three days of words, he thought.
Then a single vote.
And this time,
the strongest won't win.
The most believable will.
End of Episode 18.
