After so many years of marriage, Sai had never taken anniversaries seriously.
Not just the day their relationship became official—even wedding anniversaries and similar occasions were treated the same way.
Of course, Ino had reminded Sai more than once, but his wooden head simply didn't understand. He never grasped Ino's feelings at all.
"Sister Ino, don't be angry. Brother Sai must have been delayed by something urgent," Kaien said after seeing the expression on Ino's face.
A trace of pity rose in his heart, and he quickly tried to comfort her.
"Is that so?" Ino twitched her lips, a desolate, bitter smile appearing on her face.
"How about this, Sister Ino—today, treat me as Brother Sai, and we'll celebrate the anniversary together," Kaien said, gritting his teeth and mustering his courage as he looked at her seriously.
This was an opportunity to get close to Ino. If he missed it, he didn't know when he'd get another chance.
Hearing Kaien's words, Ino was clearly startled.
"Alright!" She quickly adjusted her emotions, winked her left eye at him, and smiled.
"Since you're willing to celebrate the anniversary with an old women like me, then how could I refuse?"
"Mmm!" Kaien nodded firmly.
"Let's go—shopping!" Ino happily linked her arm through Kaien's and pulled him toward the mall.
"How about this one? Does it look good?" Ino picked out an outfit, held it up to herself, and asked.
"Hm… not bad," Kaien replied rather perfunctorily.
It wasn't that he didn't want to be serious—it was just that the outfit Ino chose couldn't compare to what she was already wearing.
Her crop top and miniskirt perfectly accentuated her figure.
If she changed into that outfit… it wasn't ugly, but it felt like something was missing.
"Hmph! Same answer again. Can't you be a little more serious? Don't be exactly like Sai," Ino pouted unhappily.
Noticing her displeasure, Kaien quickly added, "Actually, Sister Ino, the clothes you just picked are completely incomparable to what you're wearing now."
"The outfit you're wearing right now perfectly highlights all your advantages," Kaien continued.
A blush appeared on Ino's pretty face.
She returned the clothes to the rack and muttered, "I don't care. You still have to help me pick something new today."
"Uh…" Kaien hesitated, his gaze drifting to a dress hanging behind her.
Following his gaze, Ino's blush deepened. She snorted softly. "Hmph~ Don't even think about it!"
Kaien shrugged helplessly.
He didn't actually want her to wear that dress—it was far too revealing, practically like wearing nothing.
Ino casually chose two outfits, paid, and continued strolling through the mall with Kaien.
"Let's go. I booked a restaurant a few days ago. I thought I wouldn't be able to go, but today we'll go together," Ino said as she pulled Kaien along.
Then she suddenly stopped, turned, and smiled at him.
"Wow, Sister Ino is actually treating me to a meal?" Kaien said in surprise. "Then I won't be polite."
Ino just smiled faintly, saying nothing, though the blush on her face deepened.
Soon, the two arrived at the restaurant.
It was a couple's restaurant. Two rows of large balloons hung at the entrance.
Inside, candles were arranged everywhere, the lighting dim and soft, creating a warm and intimate atmosphere.
The entire restaurant consisted of private booths, ensuring complete privacy.
Ino and Kaien took their seats. A waiter came over, confirmed their order, and then left.
After Ino finished ordering, she sat quietly, lost in thought.
A short while later, the dishes were served.
"This is Endless Love Noodles. Don't be fooled by the portion—there's actually only one noodle. You two eat from opposite ends," the waiter explained briefly before leaving.
"Um… Sister Ino, you eat first," Kaien said, pushing the bowl toward her.
Ino gently bit her red lip and whispered, "Let's eat together."
"Uh…" Kaien was momentarily stunned.
"What? Do you dislike me, an old woman?" Ino pretended to be angry and glared at him.
"Of course not!" Kaien quickly shook his head. "Alright then—I'll gladly accept."
Of course he was happy. The refusal had only been for show.
Ino watched Kaien take a bite from his end. After a moment of hesitation, she bit into the other end of the noodle.
Her dissatisfaction with Sai—accumulated over years of marriage—completely erupted in this ambiguous atmosphere.
The noodle grew shorter and shorter.
When less than ten centimeters remained, both of them stopped.
Their eyes met, sparks filling the air.
They could feel each other's breath. Their breathing grew heavier.
For nearly two minutes, neither moved.
Then Kaien continued eating, slowly closing the distance.
Ino gently closed her beautiful eyes, silently accepting what was about to happen.
Finally, Kaien bit off the last bit of noodle—and kissed Ino's cherry lips.
Ino's body trembled violently. Her heartbeat skyrocketed, as if she'd been electrocuted.
She hesitated only briefly before her lips parted slightly.
Understanding her meaning, Kaien grew excited. He licked her tender lips and then slipped his tongue into her mouth.
"Mmm…"
Ino instinctively wrapped her arms around Kaien's neck, pressing her body against his.
Kaien showed no restraint. He held Ino tightly and kissed her deeply.
The two were like parched beasts, greedily sucking the sweetness from each other's mouths, wishing they could swallow one another whole.
After a long time, they finally separated, panting heavily, staring at each other with eyes full of desire.
Kaien's possessiveness toward beautiful women was obvious.
And Ino—like Sakura and Mother Kushina—hadn't been kissed in far too long, hadn't been held tightly by a man in far too long.
At this moment, she couldn't control herself either.
"Ding-a-ling!"
As if perfectly timed, the waiter's bell rang.
Kaien and Ino quickly separated.
The waiter entered with the next dish.
"This dish is called…"
