It's been one week since Ragar had started teaching me how to use a sword. My back is killing me, this isn't like playing with wooden kendo swords. But, my skills had been improving a lot compared to day one.
"Sakura, your holding your sword wrong again! Like I said, you put your hand closer to the top and the spacing between your hands is terrible" Ragar scolded me again. "Ok, that's it for now, let's eat some lunch".
Ragar may not look like it, but he sure could cook. His food were always delicious, but they were different from Japanese food. Come to think of it, Ragar was managing a food stall the first time I met him.
"Let's eat, Sakura" Ragar handed me a plate of food.
"Thank you for the meal" I started eating.
It's delicious, it tastes sort of weird though. It tastes a little spicy but also has a sweet citrus flavor. It smells like mayonnaise though. After the meal, I went back to training. I only get to rest after dinner, is this not just torture?
"Don't loosen your grip, Sakura" Ragar starts nagging me about form and stances again.
After dinner, I went to bed. I sleep in a spare room in Ragar's house, it has a window that gives me a clear view of the stars in the clear night sky. I lie down on my bed, thinking to myself about the days training, reviewing what I did wrong. You must be wondering why I've just accepted reality, right? Well, it's because my last words had shown me that all I could think of was to get a boyfriend. I've decided that I need to change the way I live.
"Magical Slash!"
"Impressive, Sakura. I thought it'd at least take you a month to use a skill, but look at this, in only eight days" Ragar said, praising me.
Magical Slash, it's just a plain slash, but enhanced by magic. In this world, magic has no elements until you've unlocked it, so it'll just be colorless white material. I hope I'll get an element soon, though Ragar had said to not worry about it for now.
"Ok, now Sakura, try slashing that wooden box over there" Ragar points to a small wooden box.
"Magical Slash" I yell, as I unleash my skill upon the box.
The box broke apart easily, revealing a beautifully, fine made dagger inside. It had a silver blade that shines when the sunlight hits it, and a leather case with flowers embroidered in it.
"This is your present Sakura! Congrats on using a skill" Ragar congratulated me eagerly.
When I touched the dagger, a sharp feel filled my mind, and then a voice started talking.
"Ragar's Silver Dagger, a dagger made with silver from Greitz, it is finely made by a dwarf craftsman"
Greitz? Where's that? And who is talking?
"Umm, Ragar... did you hear that voice?" I asked Ragar, who looked confused.
"What voice? Are you okay, Sakura?" A worried look spreads across his face.
"Umm, never mind, I'm fine" I reply, trying not to make Ragar worry.
Later that night, I decided to tell Ragar what the voice had said. I had expected him to worry, but instead he told me to go to sleep and dress well for tomorrow. I guess I'm not sick or anything?
