The steel walls of the interrogation room felt like they were shrinking. Light Yagami had been in confinement for days, and the psychological pressure was immense. L was watching him through the cameras, waiting for a single crack in his composure.

Ryuk, who was eating an apple in the corner of the ceiling, stopped mid-bite and cackled. "Heh, you're really going through with it? You know you won't remember a thing, right Light? You'll forget the notebook, the Shinigami... and the fact that you are the God of this new world."
"Just do it," Light hissed.
[Scene 3: The Erasure]
In an instant, Light's eyes rolled back for a split second. When he looked up again, the darkness, the arrogance, and the sharp edge in his gaze had vanished. He looked around the room with wide, terrified eyes, gasping for air.
"Where... where am I? Ryuzaki? Why am I tied up? What happened?"
His voice was filled with genuine, pure confusion. He wasn't acting anymore. At this moment, Light Yagami truly believed he was innocent.
[Scene 4: L's Nightmare]
At the monitoring station, L dropped his spoon. He watched the heart rate monitor—it was steady, the brain waves showed no sign of deception.
"This is impossible," L whispered, his thumb pressing hard against his lip. "It's like Kira just... died inside of him. But if he's not Kira anymore, then who is killing the criminals right now?"
Outside, in a secret location, a new person opened a black notebook. The game had changed.
