Edwards' breath hitched. His hands trembled as he instinctively took a step back.

"You're here too, Guide Lawrence," came another voice, just as a sleek black car rolled to a stop before Edwards who was trembling uncontrollably and Lawrence, whose face was contorted with rage.
Both men instantly recognized the voice. They turned sharply toward the car, watching as the tinted window slid down with a soft hum. A door opened, and Louise stepped out. He was dressed in nothing but a pair of shorts and a loose white singlet, his golden eyes hidden behind dark sunglasses.
Edwards blinked in disbelief. Should I say this is from frying pan to fire? Or maybe this is somehow a good thing? The number one Esper and the number one Guide, both here… for me?
He swallowed hard. No, I'm screwed. Totally screwed. Orion must've mentioned my name already. His trembling worsened.
