I had to get out of there.
My legs were shaking so badly I could barely stand, but I forced myself to move.
Forced myself to push away from the wall and walk toward the door before Draven could say anything else. Before he could touch me again and maybe even turn to his wolf, I wouldn't know what would happen, and maybe it was luck; it was luck that had saved me, not some magic he whispered about or my father doing some weird spells on me, because it was impossible; my father couldn't.
If he had done any such things, he would never have hidden it. I knew the type of person he was; he would scream it to the world, use my powers, or experiment for his greed, he wouldn't hide it, NEVER.
The second he told me to step out of the room, I was more than happy to leave.
