I instantly stiffened just as I sat up fast, and something in my face must have given me away because Alec was staring at me in the next moment, his voice griff as he spoke. "Who is that?"
My throat felt stuck as I spoke. "It's… it's Heathen."
The darkness that instantly came over Alec's face would have made me instantly crumble if it wasn't for the fact that I was aware that his anger wasn't directed at me right now. He plucked the phone from my grip and swiped the call off, automatically rejecting the call and at once, i could breathe again.
"You alright?" He asked next and I nodded jerkiily while still feeling extremely shaken up. By the time I exhaled next, I felt like I was back in Blair's sitting room and Heathen was beating me up.
"Seraphina." Alec's voice pulled me right to the present and I exhaled breathlessly again, panting hard just just as our eyes locked.
